Brod ,   USA   (04.19.08)
Why is Carter allowed to make a fool of himself and damaging America's foreign policy in the Middle East.? Rice should order him to stop playing Bush in the region. Meanwhile, Israel should deport him back to the USA.
33. Carter came to wish hamas/hezbullah happy aniversary
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (04.19.08)
25 years ago today, hamas/hezbullah bombed the US embassy in Beirut killing dozens of Americans and Lebanese civilians. Carter made the specially timed trip to help celebrate and pass out candy
34. GOOD POST FARAZ- SMART

HE IS A GREAT PEACEFUL BRILLIANT MAN.
36. Paved With Well Intentions
GZLives   (04.19.08)
Its not as if Carter really does hate us. He just doesn't understand. He wants to believe something is making them behave like barbarians. He doesn't accept that nothing makes them act that way, its what they are. Those who aren't are too afraid to speak up or have left the entire mess behind them in N America or Europe. What's left is the poor and hard core. The so called "resistance" who the left lionizes because they also don't understand who this element is and what tools they are and continue to be for the Jihad.
37. "Nobel Piece Prize"
Jewish person ,   Poway   (04.19.08)
Jimmy Carter should get a "Nobel War Prize" if their is one.
38. Carter can/should be tried under the Logan Act
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (04.19.08)
The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years. (wikipedia) Carter is such a loser. Failed president. Disgraceful ex-president. Never met a thug or dictator he couldn't hug. He's negotiating only by his own authority, which makes him liable under the Logan Act.
39. Jimmy is planing to visit Taliban
Mishhkafofer ,   Ashdod IL   (04.19.08)

41. Carter, the peanut brain
Spencer ,   Israel   (04.19.08)
Keep up the good work Mr. Ex-President. Your country has listed Syria as a country that sponsers terrorism and the people you have met with are listed and international terrorists,.Yet you seek to give them legitamicy. You're a disgrace to your country, and I am ashamed that the powers that be here , allowed you into Israel. Why don't you do a proper job. Convert it Islam and go live in Iran or Syria? You'll feel more at home there!
42. #16, I'm with you
eh-oop ,   UK   (04.19.08)
Carter's views are certainly reprehensible and very possibly anti-semitic, but he does have the ability to make news. He can "pull a rabbit out of the hat" and propose a wide-ranging deal favourable to Hamas. Perhaps it will involve a temporary truce on their part (which the media will always choose to interpret as a substantial peace move but which Hamas, in the tradition of Al Hudaibiyyah, will overturn as soon as convenient). The truce will, of course, be in exchange for wide-ranging and substantial concessions on Israel's part. But suddenly, Carter's plan will be represented as the only game in town and Israel as the obstacle to "peace". Jane is right. The reality of Hamas needs to be relentlessly exposed so that it becomes morally impossible for them to be portrayed by BBC News as serious negotiating partners.
43. Sad one-termer desperate to leave a mark before he dies
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (04.19.08)
Trying to stretch out his 7.5 minutes of fame, he'll end up in that shriveled peapod with Bush Jr. He apparently learned very little from his failed negotiations with the Iranians in '80.
44. Go fish old man. Don't let me cry
Alex ,   San Fran   (04.19.08)
45. Carter, you don't speak for Israel!
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (04.19.08)
Our Government is bad enough! We don't need a dimwitted, senile old ex-president that failed the US meddling in things that don't concern him. Go away! Retire! I hear there are some peanuts to be planted in Georgia!
46. hey, if he couldnt do it in israel, he can go some place
(04.19.08)
