UN are so moronically stupid that its hard to know what to make of it. They have gotten the information loud and clear that Israel has supplied palestinians with gas, but hamas is blocking the usage of it. Are they satanists those running the UNRWA, or what is the deal?! There is nothing more Israel can do.

he tells me (and i quote him) that he's sick of living a big lie. he said they don't have food or water shortage, only the electricity sets off some time during the day, he says hamas is the biggest problem they have, but everybody is affraid to say something, because they walk the streets with ak47 like cowboys wild wild west style. he told me hamas is doing everything to make israel look bad to the world. he said they once knocked on his door to give him candles, they told him to go to the streets in the evening and turn off the lights in his house. i mean, of course we know all that, and we know the palis are big liers... but that's just another fact for you right here. wake up world! your being joked in the face!

Is there a reason why 650,000 Palestinians living in the autonomous Gaza Strip, which Egypt or Israel are no longer occupying, are still being referred to as "refugees"? Economic, social and political conditions may be rough and the borders may be shut, but they're hardly "refugees" if they live in their own territory...

All I can say is thank you for providing some perspective on the situation, and for giving a voice to your friend in Gaza who, obviously, isn't in a position to speak out due to the threat of Hamas violence.

Even if they were without fuel, food and electricity, they would have deserved it for trying to kill Israelis in their own country. The real news should be that despite of their terrorist and criminal behavior Israelis are still supplying them with food, fuel etc. That should stop unless they cease launching Kassams into Israel. They have the choice and all their complaints should be ignored.

thanks for letting us know the truth of the gaza situation and the many fabricated lies the hamas is busy relaying to the media and un. i also have a jounalist friend who is arab and resides in the west bank near ramallah. he was present at the candle demonstrations in gaza. this is what he told me happened..... the hamas gunmen forced children and their moms to come out by force from their homes, which were lit up to the cieling in lights (no shortage of electricity) the told them to shut all lights, gave out candles and even forced little kids out of cribs to march down streets (that had street lamps and lights, neon lights all working fine) and do a demonstration. this is what the eu and un do not see. everything is a lie. they terrorise these poor people into submition and threaten them if they refuse to close lights or march with the candles. babies that were sleepibg started crying when forced out of their cribs and started following their moms. store fronts were made to shut off the electricity so that the world can believe there was non to operate the store. the gas, hamas rakes for themselves right away and leaves all the rest for the civilians, which is really not much. if you disagree, they shoot you and blame israeli missiles for it. my friend told me that once a store owner didn't want to close shop and they threatened him in arabic that his house will be bombed and then, they'll blame israeli missiles for this attack. my friend is fluent in arabic and is a british newsman. however, the hamas didn't know he understood arabic so they spoke freely!!!!! people know what is going on. the gazans know what is going on and they are in mortal fear day in and out with gunmen threatening if they don't do what they want, they loose their life and house to bombs. my friend also told me that he saw a meeting of hamas gun men that they asked him to video......IN THE DARK. but, it was not dark in the room as all hamas men were holding and using candles. they colosed all curtains to make it seem as if it was nighttime and put candles on the conference table. one could really see the sun light peering through the shut curtain. it was all a fake and a ruse for the world media to see. my friend published the picture in bbc and bbc had a caption on it...."nighttime in gaza". hamas is very adept ar lying and pro;aganda which the world just eats it up and thinks it is what is going on while they lie through their teeth. the only lossers in all of this is the palestinian people who, one told me, if i knew what hamas is, i would have killled all of them than vote for them.

There are refugees in the world who live in absolute squalor in tents while these Arabs ("Palestinians") live in homes with satellite dishes. UNWRA should just move on all together.

Gaza is lacking any independent sovereignty and the use of military force is, in that case permissible. Its amazing the excuses that they come with to put Israel into a bad light over palestian problems. Palestians try to blow up Nahal Oz Palestians fire bullets at fuel tankers bringing them the fuel they claim to need.l Palestians have fuel but they wont deliver it because Israel didnt give them as much as they wanted so have a little temper tantrum refuse to do use what you have. Palestian terrorists take half the fuel shipments and hoard so the cars are lining up at the gas station blaming Israel. This is palestian logic & UNRWA is not an organistion we should take to much interest in considering the only reason it exists is to help palestians. There is no other orgnistion like UNRWA in the entire world and never has been. This is the only so called refugee situation that has a UN organistion set up for the sole purpose of looking after their interests. If UNRWA need gas so badly why dont they ask the Egyptians to fill up the tankers after all there is plenty of oil in Sinai and they have a border with Gaza so why is it Israel that needs to supply the fuel that they claim to need. If the palestians starve as a result of UNRWA not making their deliveries then the only ones to blame are URWA themselves because they refused to make thir deliveriies from Egypt.

The best hope for putting an end to this reign of terror on the part of Hamas is for people like you and Hans to continue to speak out. Most of the Palestinians are too afraid, and when the Israelis try to tell the real story, they're viewed with suspicion and accused of being propagandists even though we know who the real propagandists are and who is really responsible for any misery the Palestinians might be suffering.
