10. just think what Hamas could do with 6 months
Stockpile food & fuel for use in month 7.
Get more long range rockets to fire deeper into Israel.
Get more guns to take pot shots at Israelis & more explosives so they can get back into the suicide bombing game.
Decide on the best way to kidnap more soilders... I also notice that Gilad Shalit doesnt come in this nice little hudna.
Recruit new members & fix up any damage Israel has done to the internal workings of the organistion.
They also know Israel is being run by a pathetic little man who will probably accept the offer if he thinks its going to increase his chances at getting the nobel prize for a bad deal he is dreaming up behind closed doors with Abbas.
Whats good for Israel doesnt matter anymore only whats good for Olmert.
If OImert does accept this offer it wil be even more proof of his stupidity Hamas are only looking for an excuse to rapair all the damage Israel has done to them.
Right now they are very weak and they want to turn that around so they need a little rebuild time.

16. Terrorist Hamas-Ayatollahs' Tentacle
Hamas can eat their truce. Who do they think they are? They are nothing but a cesspool in the Middle East that needs to be cleaned up. They continue to attack Israel with Iran's supplied rockets. It is time Israel has a new strong Right Wing government that can deter all these dark forces from attacking israel. The fact is a weak government encourages the ravenous wolves to intensify their atrocities on Israel.

19. #4 only an idiot wouldn't see that
the problem is what to do. it really is probably a sign that they see themselves as not able to make any more progress militarily.
the disgusting thing is how these people are really nazis without access to rail, cattle cars, concentration camps and poison gas. they truly have murderous intentions, they just can't realize them. they really want to kill as many jews as they can, men, women and children in order to reach some sick twisted political vision of a jew-free palestine. really identical to hitlerian philosophy. for a person like carter to visit them really is sickening and hats off to dov gillerman for calling that man what he is. a bigot.

20. Not until they declare an unconditional surrender
"We are not begging for a truce". Begging is not good enough. Hamas, IJ, PRC must be totally crushed, beg, and unconditionally surrender under full humiliation so that they understand and can't twist it into a victory.

21. IF HAMAS WANTS A TRUCE...
If Hamas wants a truce, it is a good sign....a sign that we should go in and wipe every one of them out.
IF Hamas wants a cease fire, it is solely to re-arm, to dig in, and to re-attack in nastier ways.
They send in missles almost every day. Is THAT indicative of an nemy that wishes a sincere cease fire.
WHAT TIME IS IT??

23. hunda? sure, yea
During that time Hammas can rearm and get more weapons into Gaza.
To those of you who say,Israel should take it,you are wrong.
History repeats itself, for every time there was a cease fire from the Arabs, they started a war, when they feel, they are strong enough.

24. Only as long as Hamas is dis-armed and scrutinizingly
monitored. Any other "truce" is a fake.

|
25. Current proposals like the Road Map are totally unworkable.
Considering the fact that the only possible relations between the Muslims and the non-Muslims are war or a limited ceasefire, it follows that the word “peace” should be deleted from Israel’s lexicon as well as the notion of peace with the Arabs as a viable, political possibility. The maximum that Israel can aim for is a limited ceasefire or an armistice, taking into consideration that the Arab side will violate it at any time, as the Palestinians have been proving on a daily basis since the signing of the Oslo Accords in September 1993. The solution to the Israelo-Arab problem should be find elsewhere as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi7ku

26. Why would Israel be interested in a Hudna?
Hamas would be able to lick it's wounds and gain support on the street because the borders were open and the world was handing out charity.
Less kassams might fall, but the price of then having to later destroy a stronger Hamas would make the price to high.
Olmert will consider world opinion which would be happy that there was no 'humanitarian' crisis but what would happen after the six months or longer period when Israel would be forced to invade Gaza - world opinion would then be stronger against any 'invasion'.
The technology will soon exist to stop the kassams and sad as they are for the people in Sderot and the surrounding areas they have no 'real' effect on Israel and are more of an annoyance that anything else.

29. Hamas 6 months
...so this is what will happen. Initially Olmert and co will agree to it to please Bush and hail themselves as the "peacemakers" and try to justify it .Hamas will re arm , it will probably not last 6 months if at all -situation normal more rockets and moreas before. It is so predictable !

30. Hamas willing to save their own life - No hudna, no truce
Keep it under pressure no way to make peace with Hamas unless they recognize Israel the right to exist in and live in peace. If they do not attack us we have more interesting thing to do and than peace will be an automatic process. No truce
