4. Another Missed Opportunity
In the world of diplomacy, a lot gets accomplished with small talk at official events etc.
By refusing to speak with attendees at Israel's 60th Anniversary celebrations in typical Palestinian fashion they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity!

5. George Bush stay away from Egypt & call Abbas bluff instead
I would just love to see Abbas make a fool of himself when a politician calls his bluf and anounces he plans to visit Abbas at his place and he is told your not welcome.
The more world leaders and dignitories who visit them the more their cause is highlighted they cant afford to turn away anybody especially when its those same people they later come running to begging for money or to condem Israel.
I must admit I would love to have Bush attend the celebrations in Israel and then later told he is not welcome in Judea and Samaria.

9. Palestinians prove their intent at every turn
By issuing their ultimatum, again, to everyone, the palis prove that they have no interest in a two-state solution but rather seek an end-goal resulting in our destruction

10. What?
"They (visiting leaders) have to be a bit more sensitive about the feelings of the Palestinian people".......someone needs to tell Abbas that there's no such thing as Palestinian people. Only Arab squatters that were living in the land of Israel and who should go back to where they came from ie. Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Arabia.

no problems. just don't forget to send the baklavah and humus to jerusalem for the grand celebration. of course you may come as well, but truthfully, it is better for you to celebrate you nakhba. you'll be celebrating it for hundreds more years to come. don't you ever get tired of ce;ebrating only one holiday in the so called reinvented "palestinian history"?
happy nakhba. we wish you all the best. really!

14. Palestinian 'leaders?'
Let's see, being shunned by Abbas and ilk is like being shunned by Idi Amin. Most world leaders will take is an honor, assuming that they even care the least bit. I think this is Abbas's way of 'saving face' considering that no honorable world leader would stoop quite so low as to drop in to say hi.

18. The USA and the Arab/Palestinian dream of an independent ...
The USA and the Arab/Palestinian dream of an independent Palestinian state with no Israel.
Time has come for a substantive shift in thinking to end the Arab/Palestinian dream of an independent Palestinian state with no Israel, as being part of a solution to the Israel-Palestinian/Arab conflict. Surely by now it should be evident to all that the Palestinians ability to bring an independent and self sufficient and self sustaining state into existence is utterly hopeless and there is no reasonable prospect that time will change that fact.
