The claims are without factual support. There were never 70,000 people living in Ramle and Lyddah in 1948. The few thousand Arab residents that did live in these towns supported the invading Arab armies in a war that they supported, but lost when facing an Israeli counterattack. With the logic of these authors, Russia should return Eastern Prussia and Poland should return Western Prussia to Germany and then repatriate the millions of Germans "displaced" by the failure of the Third Reich to hold onto its territory. Let's then have Russia compensate those "ethnically cleansed" by the Red Army in 1944-45.
