Holocaust survivors' situation worsening     Yael Branovsky
1. SHAME
This is a national shame and disgrace. These people need to spent their final days in comfort and without need or worry.

2. I can only tell what I know
My late dad who survived auschwitz got his reperations directly from the german gov't in a timely fashion for over 40 years till the month he died. My mom gets hers today in a timely manner as well. My dads sisters who stayed in Israel after my dad left for Canada, were denied these same payments due to the greed of the Israeli government. If they did get some payments it was in the form of benefits, like a vacation to some Kibbutz. All the rest is BS. The state has been stealing from these survivors forever. I rest my case.

3. Holycast Treated like dirt
If what i have read is true SHAME, SHAME , SHAME on Israel an her children. How could Israel allow this to happen when the country was founded for the jews of the holycast . I am sick to my stomach just thinking about how they are being treated. I could blame PM Olmert for this, but it's not his fault. Its the fault of all the Parties in Israel. What more can i say! Because of what they are doing GOD is Allowing Israel to be hurt. I love Israel with all my heart but a dager has enter my heart now. I can't say anymore. I am dumb founded.

4. This is partly because...
...most of them never received their reparation money!

5. Tired
So tired of this TIRED propoganda. When will Israel wake up and accept responsibility for the survivors in its midst? The repeated drumming of stories such as these would lead one to believe that no money or very little money was ever given by Germany to benefit survivors -- which is so far from the truth that it just pains me to read these things. That Israel elected to accept reparations in the ways that it did does not make it others duty to step in at this late date and give more. Rather it would clearly indicate that a vibrant Israel is now fit enough to take care of its own. So instead of acting righteously indignant as though revelations such as these are something new, grow up and start to educate the public that past moneys were expended elsewhere and that a compassionate Israel should now prioritize the benefit of survivors in its own budget.
