Bye Bye Olmert. Israel is sometimes ridiculous. It reminds me of the Syrian affair. Why do they think we need babysitting?

I am not particularly a fan of the prime minister, but having an American accuser raises questions of involvement of the US administration, and that means foreign political motivation in removing an Israeli leader. That I am without reservation opposed to. Particularly since the Bush administration, and Bush and Cheney in particular, are not themselves above suspicion regarding initiating the Iraq war, and giving bid-free contracts to their buddy corporation Halliburton. If the reason for Bush seeking the ouster of Olmert is political, to Hell with them. Lets first impeach the dynamic duo of Bush/Cheney for high crimes and misdemeanors. Then look into those they impeach.

Versus Chief Superintendent Hagai Ben-Arieh, representing the police, said that the public debate could wait, whereas an investigation led astray could not be rectified. So far a strange public performance in Jerusalem District court who later decided as unofficially translated “….With the agreement of the state and after the respondents' attorneys left the decision to the discretion of the court, we direct that at this stage, it may be published that a request has been filed to depose a foreign national…." This after consultations also after having been officially informed of several details about the person’s concern had been published in the New York post. (with Jerusalem registered phone lines) This caused the court to allow the publication “…A material witness order was issued in the Police National Fraud Unit's investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert...” Apparently Olmert’s personal lawyer agreed to this despite the fact that Olmert’s basic rights as a citizen to fence off this accusations / speculations published facts were curtailed to what the police spokesperson said that publication of details “…on the eve of the Memorial Day, would harm the public interest…” – The public interest was intended to be safeguarded by the Basic Law….! It would be interesting to have a High Court judgment concerning this gag order which remains enforced until Sunday after Memorial Independence Day as citizen Ehud Olmert and all other Israelis are discriminated by Israel’s servant of law partially upon agreement.

You read some news papers, watch CNN or whatever, and feel yourself "up to date" on "current events". well buddy, to any serious political analyst your post is a perfect example of the effects of the 24/7 news cycle. You manage to string together at least 6 concepts yet leave out your reasoning for doing so. you willingly embark on a chain of logic that should never have left the station. an american biz man = bush + cheney = haliburton. Plz dont mention your thoughts to any serious historion of political events. unless your trying to humor him.

Still all circumstantial, of course. The evidence is as I laid out the facts: Iraq, Hallburton; but that doesnt connect the dots. You se, Ive been writing on this for years and dont want to continually rehash the old stuff. Bush invaded Afghanistan. Retrubution for twin towers. Bush invades Iraq: no wmds, and against the strong advice of Israeli leaders at all levels, intelligence, political, military; against advice of Saudis, also all levels; against advice of CIA Director Tennant. Reasoning not that Sadam a great guy, guiltless; that to take him out would free Iran of main enemy, promote Iranian power in region: destabilize the Middle East. But Bush and cronies knew better than the experts and proved them right. Iran now a threat to all, and the US defense shield to Arabs and Israel in tatters. The Halliburton thing? A no brainer. Cheney was exceptional in being give a golden parachute from Halliburton en route to vice presidency. Usually, according to those knowledgeable, people who leave that company go next to penniless. One year later Cheney, et al reward his former employer with bid-free, muti-billion dollar contracts with built in graft not only in Iraq, but in New Orleans. If that does not constitute high crimes and misdemeanors, then you must at least admit the relationship gives off a certain stench? Regarding the US Deep Throat against Olmert: coincidental that it should follow the arrest of a second Pollard, and an octegenarian at that roused from his nursing home bed; that soon after Bush goes public with the reactor raid; and all this in the wake of Olmert coming to his senses that a Palestine unable to make internal peace cannot do so with Israel, that Israel is willing to talk to a Bush Axis of Evil country, Syria? Sure there are coincidences. But again, acertain odor seems present. At least to me. But then, I dont pretend the impossible, to defend the Bush record, or motives. But I do appreciate you allowing me to flesh in the issuew. Thanks

what info is there? Does it say what Olmert will be charged with? Does it suggest a connection with Shula Zaken? It says that Morris Talansky (known by Olmert as the "laundry man") will be depositioned. Olmert's lawyer has the right to cross question Talansky so Olmert knows about this. The more secrecy about this the better until Olmert is indicted. MIke
