The U.S.A. has a long list of a failed geo political policy. Vietnam comes to mind first. Maybey people have forgotten their support for junta's like in Chili , El Salvador and other Latin American countries. Now Iraq with in between other misguided blunders like Somalia. At hands of the state department the US has supported many dubious figures in order to protect their own interests and influence. In the end they have lost over and over again at the hands of popular supported groups. Hizbullah is no difference and with the inconsistent way The U.S.A. is fighting the war on terror, they will fail again. If one fights terror, one can not support one terror group which is deemed moderate and denounce another or have diplomatic talks with rogue terrorist nations. During WW II there was no hesitation to destroy and take care of hostile nations in order to protect against evil. The need for oil and other considerations has blinded the U.S.A. in doing the right thing for itself and the free world.
