Leah ,   Jerusalem   (05.16.08)
Are these two Orthodox rabbis?
5.  why not interfaith dialogue with Hizbullah?
observer   (05.16.08)
Nasrallah's indirect talk applies only for captives' swap. Why not the rabbis have direct dialog with Hizibullah clerics present now there in Qatar. It takes only a short walk in Doha.
6. careful......

7. #5 Hezbollah? "faith"? Are you joking?
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (05.16.08)
First Hezbollah itself does not want any direct contact - just as Syrians etc. They all want preconditions (capitulation) before they even open their mouth. Nobody will "negotiate" in that way and if they think that time is at their side, then they should think again! There are many clocks ticking while they think that they are safe in their hideouts. So "observer" - Hezbollah is not interested in any "negotiations". Their plan is to destroy Israel regardless who talks to them, so all your suggestions that Israel doe snot do enough for "interfaith" communications is again, a pathetic rhetoric. The only way Hezbollah does "interfaith" dialogue is by means of murder and bombing civilians - and of course terrorizing the Lebanese.
8. Israeli Textbooks
NYC Girl   (05.16.08)
There's absolutely no end to the unmitigated gall on the part of the Palestinians. Their textbooks and children's television programs are utterly corrosive, and they're suffusing the next generation with racism and the aspiration to martyrdom, yet the Palestinian researcher accuses Israeli textbooks of teaching hatred. It's high time for the Palestinians to get their own houses in order rather than blaming Israel for everything that's wrong with their society.
9. itis not the faith
moza ,   ........   (05.17.08)
but the policy .as as far as israil want to be the heart of the west in the heart of the east /as far as the west support it and the east vomite it / cristian in the east are related to the east more than the west but sure the jews want to be here and there and the west want them to be here and want them to be western more than eastern
10. re:2 Historical Revisionism much?
Bertram ,   Bristol   (05.17.08)
The Ramba'n, known also as Nachmanadies, had a disputation with Pablo Christiani, who as you can tell from his surname, was not Muslim. It was the Christians who egged him into debate, promised him freedom of speech, and then exiled him. Perhaps you are thinking of Rambam who possibly converted temporarily due to threats to his life?
11. Re: 4. Rabbis
Jessica Goldberg ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.17.08)
I don't know about the other one, but Rabbi David Lazar is a very good friend of the family and a reform rabbi in Israel. It shouldn't matter either way. And as for NYC girl, you completely missed the point of the last paragraph.
12. Total waste of time.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (05.17.08)
A few dhimmis & useful idiots spouting vague & generally inaccurate platitudes are worth zip. Actually, it's harmful to continue a white-wash of a rather nasty totalitarian ideology. Perpetuating the fiction that Islam is just another religion like any other without examing in detail & specifically it's teachings, practices, laws, history, etc. is an excercise in futility.
13. Terry , Eilat,....... Israel
Charles   (05.17.08)
couldnĀ“t agree more, this fake faith jabbering makes us weaker not stronger !!!!!
14. Rabbis?
Miri ,   Israel   (05.17.08)
Only a Reform "rabbi" would be so dumb.
15. The elephant in the room.
Dave ,   Toronto, CANADA.   (05.17.08)
The elephant in the room- ie. the fact that no-one wants to addres- Judaism and Islam have way more in common than Judaism and Christianity. Once there is peace in the Middle East, then Israel and the Arab states will certainly be able to cooperate, since to put it bluntly, we both believe in the same concept of God.
16. #10 THANK YOU, I STAND CORRECTED EXACTY AS YOU STATED

17. A little feddbak here, a lot where the talk is about war and
Simon Mohammed ,   Falls Church, VA USA   (05.18.08)
Killing, and why is that? Does it mean that the problem in the area is not religious or because people just claim they are some thing and don't accept to talk to the other, and or don't understand what they beleive in. I do Belive strongly that there is a genuise maybe mathematical relationship between all the above. Can we togother hunt it, i will send tip for free. Just to help. Any taker?
18. "Rabbi" Lasker

A quick Google search reveal that -- for better or worse -- this fellow is not representative of mainstream Judaism. http://keshetrabbis.org/?page_id=11
