1. Barak: "No reason to rush ....."
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (05.19.08)
The gov't. is completely paralyzed but there's no reason to rush. The public's trust in the PM is completely shattered, but there's no reason to rush. Missiles fall on our citizens & we make empty threats, but there's no reason to rush. Our neighbor to the north has been taken over by an Iranian terrorist group armed with thousands of missiles, but there's no reason to rush. Iran will soon have a nuclear capability & want's to wipe us off the map, but there's no reason to rush. You can bet anything that if Barak's poll numbers were higher & he thought he had a chance of winning, there would be a rush. You'll notice a glaring omission in the discussion - no one even mentions in passing the interests of the country.
2. Thanks Terry

As I began to read the article I too, noticed the same thing. Imagine a man sitting in the doctor's office and the doctor saying, " you have cancer. It is spreading and will kill you. It can be cured. But there is no rush." What is really scary, I see NO ONE in the wings that is even close to leading this country knowing the difference between selfless and selfish.

4. Barak fears - therefore he claims
common sense   (05.19.08)
"no rush" ! He's afraid of Netanyahu ! Anyway, who believes his non-stop statements about elections ??? From the start he shouldn't have stepped in this lousy govt.
5. # 3 = Childish remark

6. Barak - always pompous & self-righteous
Millie ,   Israel   (05.19.08)
We need elections today. Any time later takes us, the civilians, closer to the brink of the abyss. Hey, but what do the 2 Ehuds care? One is too tired, so tired he can't answer the police and falls asleep in front of Pres. Bush; and the other is too busy posing in front of a mirror. Yes, Ehud, your butt does look too big in that.
7. #5 Maybe because i'm 7y old?
Miryam   (05.19.08)
So it suits me, right?
8. Barak wants Olmert in power at least till 2009
zionist forever   (05.19.08)
Barak knows Olmert will probably be in prison in 2009 but as long as Olmert is in office right now the better it is for Barak. Olmert can be the scapegoat for everything so Barak is hoping that all the real troubles which are going to happen between now and the US ellections in November will make things easier for him at ellectons. He also which direction the public mood is going once Olmerts sales of the country are rushed through in the hope that he can get a nobel prize to display in his jail cell. Barak also wants to avoid giving Livni a chance to make a name for herself and possibly putting herself in a strong enough position to keep Kadima alive as a serious chalanger to Labour. Nobody cares about the country just their own careers and in Olmerts case staying out of jail because as long as he is PM the courts cant touch him because you cant lock up a serving PM.
