31. #12, thus spake the mentally retarded

"Where's Bin Laden?" - who cares? Iraqis "still fighting and killing 'brave' marines"? - newsflash, fighting dramatically down, us casualties dramatically down, Al-Qaeda in Iraq all but gone. The guys in pyjamas - the VC - were defeated in 1968, you are presumably refering to the the North Vietnamese Army. "Home-made fireworks" are exactly the same as the "rockets" fired by Hizbollah two summers ago. Wierd that people weren't belittling them then. As for what is being fired "into the West Bank" - currently nothing - and what is fired into Gaza has a less powerful warhead than the "homemade fireworks(actually from Iran but who cares about facts)". Finally notice you didn't bother to explain how someone "retaliates" when the other side was doing anything....
32. #25, er, no

The number of Palestinians killed "whilst not actively taking part in hostilities" is around 1,300 - this figure includes Hamas naval officers, Hamas policemen, Armed men who happened not to be firing at the time and people throwing Molotovs etc but is the closest proxy to "civilian". The number of Israeli civilians is around 1,000. The percentage of Palestinians who were killed "whilst not actively taking part in hostilities" is lower than 40%, for Israeli civilians it is 70%. Out of nearly 5,000 rockets fired by the Palestinians exactly two have hit a military target. Palestinians operate out of civilian areas and don't wear markings separating them from civilians. Israelis don't operate from civilian areas and do wear distinguishing uniforms. Most of the Israeli casualties were from suicide bombings where the killer gets to see up close what he is killing, most of the Palestinian "civilian" deaths occured from shelling or missiles, where the killer didn't have that privilege. So the facts clearly demonstrate who are deliberately targeting civilians - one of the characteristics of a terrorist. Even terms of casualties the ratio is roughly 3.5 to 1. Hardly "many, many, many" more. These are the facts. PS You got any data to back up your claim the BBC is the most listened/watched news service on the planet? Not even the majority of Brits watch BBC news. PPS The Nazis killed approximately 75% of Jews under their control. The Israelis have killed less than 0.1%. See if you can spot the difference with these facts...
33. Have you ever noticed that the Palestinians?
Vladimir Durosky ,   Hartford USA   (05.20.08)
Have you ever noticed that the Palestinians allow the terrorists to operate all around them. Any society which helps terrorists or does not report them must die with them.

'Witnesses said that the Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint prevented an ambulance to evacuate him to hospital; instead they closed the checkpoint and hurled gas and sonic grenades towards the citizens.' No real news so let's invent some? Israel has no checkpoints in Gaza. Nor does the Army use gas or sonic grenades, they use real ones. You are too stupid for mere words.

Loved your comments. Jane is just a hate-filled zealot. Unfortunately, you'll never convince her of anything. Nevertheless, I enjoyed what you had to say.

The word terrorist is understood globally and does not denote partiality. To bring this issue closer to your home, the UK had experience with home grown terrorists and this term described them just as it does Palestinians who terrorize Israel. Your "facts" represent propaganda and it is obvious given ongoing Palestinian terror as to why the walls and road blocks are necessary. By continuing terror, the Palestinians perpetuate the conflict and become active contributors to their suffering and failure to thrive. I sincerely doubt you favor the BBC because it is unbiased. You favor it because of its bias. From your biased perspective, the Palestinians are not terrorists. Their acts however, would certainly be defined as terrorism if the target was the UK verses Israel.
37. To "Jane" : sick, twisted logic. Myopic. Really.
