1. The US Democratic Party knows that
That's why they have joined the UN, the EU, and others in their attempt to placate Ahmadinejad and offer Israel up as the proverbial sacrificial lamb. Like Britain's Lord Chamberlain and his party before them, they are under the mistaken appeasement led belief that if the Jews are sacrificed to a Nazi-based agenda like IslamoFascism, then Ahmadinejad and his blood thirsty henchmen's desires will be quenched. Like Hitler before him, that will only serve as a jumping point in a move to restore the Caliphate with the Ayatollahs in charge. This life long Democrat has seen the light knowing that their appeasement policy will quickly result in WW III and the deaths of tens of millions! A true leader is needed, and the Democrats only offer are running mates that carry with them the white flag of surrender

3. Give me a break...
There fuzzes and cries that when Homeini comes to power, Israel will be overrun.
Learn to live with nuclear Iran, cause whatever you do, they WILL get a bomb. And stay calm: Israel also has its non-existent nuclear arsenal, and Iran knows that very well, so
Where is it said that only Israel has exclusive rights on Bomb on Middle East?
Besides - that bomb will give dominance to Iran over Saudi Arabia and similar, it is not made for Israel. You are continuously being fed by lies for state of perpetual war to continue, and some people to get their fortune on it.

4. Yes, in the internet age anyone can
call for murder... even Elie Wiesel.
There is no justification for a pre-emptive assault on Iran. Yes, if Iran acquires nuclear capability, its first target will be Tel Aviv. That doesn't mean it will launch its weapons. Do you think Israel's nuclear program doesn't target Tehran? But people like Elie Wiesel insist that we mass murder Iranians to assure Israeli security. For him apparently, it's okay for Israel to threaten the security of others, but not okay for anyone to threaten Israel's security. Well, too bad Elie. As a holocaust survivor, you should be encouraging the world to behave morally, not inciting violence. Iran has many powerful enemies, and needs nuclear weapons to secure its safety against the U.S., Israel, and many others in the West, not to mention the Saudis who, like the Iranians, naturally are moving to fill the power vacuum left in Iraq by the last fiasco of pre-emptive violence against a nation accused of threatening Israeli security and harboring what turned out to be a mythical nuclear program. And what can be done about anti-semitism? You know perfectly well as far as the Arab world is concerned, Elie. Israel should make peace with the Palestinians and stop militarily bullying their neighbors. That should quell Arab resentment quite a bit.

Israel has had nuclear weaponry for many, many decades, but has never threatened to use it on anyone- and we all know that they have had more than ample opportunity to do so. Iran, on the other hand, threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Perhaps that is acceptable to you, but it is not to us.
When someone actually threatens to annihilate another nation, as Iran has, that is reason enough to prevent them from having such a weapon. It is also an outright declaration of war.
The bomb is not made for Israel? John, you seem to forget, it was the Jews who invented it the bomb- Einstein, Teller.... and others.

7. elie's call about iran and nuclear weapons
Elie, forget about olmert and barak. One is an absolute coward, take a look at him and his sons who avoid idf duty, and the other is smug,a rrogant, hoepeless ex general who is paralysed to act. better to call for shteinitz and yaalon and then you can bank on action. Olmert may have an excuse for his cowardice--he didn't do any combat duty and he is a fearful person. Barak has no excuses, yet he has shown himself to be absolutely ineffective.

8. #3, arrogant appeasment
I, for one, absolutely hope that there will NOT be a war with Iran. As stated by Queen Elizabeth I, who was triumphant in every war: "I do not like wars. They have uncertain outcomes."
However, it bothers me the way the world has essentially become resigned to Iran aquiring nukes before the fact. There are 1001 methods other than war that could be applied to prevent Iran from going nuclear, but the appeasers seem perfectly content with letting Ahmedinejad going about his business. It should alarm you that all of a sudden, the Arab states are talking about aquiring nuclear capabilities. A nuclear arms race in the Middle East is in the making, thanks to Iran, yet the Arabs did not feel the urge to go nuclear when the "greatest threat", the "Zionist enemy" Israel was the only state in the region to possess such weapons. That should tell you something.

9. #4, Are you hallucinating?
"But people like Elie Wiesel insist that we mass murder Iranians to assure Israeli security."
Uhhh, excuse me? Where did he say that? Where did he say that Iran must be attacked militarily? Please, tell us. I believe that he said Iran must not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon, and you are attempting to divert and distract from the meaning of his statement. Iran's nuclear program could easily be thwarted peacefully, if there was a concerted international effort. Your post indicates that you believe that Iran's nukes are essentially a done deal, and that indeed they would be beneficial. That is an opinion which is worrying, not Elie Wiesel's remarks which you so callously and deliberately misinterpret.
Oh, and by the way, your insinuation that Israel somehow instigated the war in Iraq for its own benefit has been revealed to be nothing more than an outright lie. How the rise of Shiite Iraq benefits Israel is simply beyond me.
Also, saying "Israel must make peace with the Palestinians. That should quell Arab resentment quite a bit" is like saying "Pigs must fly, or else they are responsible for being made into bacon."
Nice try, but you simply haven't got a clue.

10. #4 You are the ONE hallucinating!
Israel was behind the Iraq war! The photos of Saddam's WMDs, the latest drum roll to attack Iran, the photo shopped images of Iran's Nuclear facilities, the photos of Syria's nukes before the
IOF illegally bombed Syria.
They all bear one thing in common i.e. the Israel's modus operandi, tissues of lies and fabricated evidence.
Saddam had no WMDs, You can't prove Syria had any ( you bombed away the 'evidence') and even if Iran has numerous WMDs, your incessant wolf! wolf! wolf! means NO ONE believes you! You have no credibility whatsoever!
"How the rise of Shiite Iraq benefits Israel is simply beyond me" Answer? neither you nor the Americans saw the Mullahs' trap nor reckoned on the unforeseen consequences of your illegal war i.e. the rising of the Iranian Phoenix. Talk Peace!!!

11. Will the world tolerate a nuclear Iran?
The world cannot tolerate a nuclear weapon in the hands of people who say openly, explicitly and publicly that they want to wipe Israel off the map.The U.S. is the leader of the international effort to stop the Iranians from becoming nuclear. Israel does not agree with the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate that Iran had probably shelved its nuclear weapons program, and feels instead that Iran’s “military program continues and has never been stopped. If this program continues, at some point they will be in possession of a nuclear weapon.” The future of Iran at : http://xrl.us/bkiua

12. #4Mr Che...are you living in Utopialand ?
The Iranian Angels made it 100% clear that they want the total destruction of Israel.
The Problem Dear Mr. Che is that at the same time all the Palestinian will die if the Idiots in Iran launch a N. Bomb on Israel.
The Iranians after that will also turn into dust Mr. Che.
The US and Israel air force will make the place fluorecent for the next million years.
So please dear Mr Che let us calm down.
First of all you should read the comments again before giving your opinion on a subject you do not understand.

15. Re; 3 John- You know nothing.
Giving Iran dominance will already cause oil prices to further rise. As if the world does not have enough problems with this contributing to the rise in fuel prices. Also it will give the Iranians more hedgemony in Syrian /Lebanese affairs. This in turn may force Israel into a war. After which if Israel and Iran go loggerheads the possibility of a nuclear exchange between the two countries is very likely. There is not likely to be a red phone between Jerusalem and Tehran. Oh yeah, Europe is also in Iranian missile range. So keep scoffing you imbecile.

What would you rather have, him still in power happily gassing the Kurds when he felt like it???
Well.. Would you rather he was still in power?
