1. Ceding Golan not on Table
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.21.08)
That should be Israel's message to Syria and Bush and the world. no more appeasment ,it does not work. Instead we have a 2/3 vote nonsense where most of the knesset are corrupt and cannot be trusted. We have Olmerts secret surrender talks with promises of more pain for wirthless promises.. A people who forget their G-d and act so faithless towards Him will have much trouble and heartache. You do not reward your enemies who attack you . When they lose land ,they learn not to attack again . Your WEAKNESS and appeasment mindset for peace will bring a greater war and death and destruction to Israel.
2. Are they crazy?
Lobo ,   USA   (05.22.08)
The Syrians do NOT want peace... they want land and more land... israel has actually done
3. The only parts of Israel that should be ceded to the Arabs..
Roscio ,   Rome, Italy   (05.22.08)
are called Olmert, Peres, Livni, Barak and Tamir. Ok, what the heck, let's be generous and throw in Beilin as well. The only problem is that this motley crew cut any connections they had with Israel and the Jewish People a long long time ago.
4. #1 Make NO offense to the Jews-Hashem's words, not mine.

6. There are not different interest groups in Israel?
vered ,   israel   (05.22.08)
Every time Olmert does something that interferes with the interest of one group, that group wants to get rid of him. What kind of democracy is this anyway?
7. No
Joshua ,   canada   (05.22.08)
Ceding the Golan to Syria will not solve the problem.Syria hasnt earned a shred of respect or trust from Israel and should not be trusted.Golan is now part of Israel so the Syrians should be used to it by now.
8. Golan
M Behar ,   Miami FL USA   (05.22.08)
Itts unthikable that Israel would give up the jewel in its crown for nothing more than a fake promise. You have peace with Syria now, what more do you want peace within their artillery range
9. Give up the Golan and I Give up on Israel
Visiting soon ,   Toronto Canada   (05.22.08)
When I last visited Israel 10 years ago, I realized that The Golan was the most beautiful part of the country. You have held it for longer than Syria has. If you are foolish enough to give it away then there is not much country left for me to care about.
10. Ha Knesset Zo'deq
steve ,   london, england   (05.22.08)
Good. This is the way forward. The people of Israel make their voice heard in their parliament. Government's all too often forget where the line is drawn between power and authority. With legislation like this the people can exercise their democratic authority over the power of the Prime Minister's Office. Now we shall see democracy really demonstrate its ultimate potential to protect freedom in the world. There can be no freedom for people who believe they are above the law. The Syrians believed they were above the law. It cost them the Golan. Now let's see the Syrians demonstrate regret and remorse and give the Golan to Israel as war reparations. That way Syrians can take a leading role in peace making throughout the region.
11. Enough of theis fool....Elections NOW!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.22.08)
He has no mandate to give away the Golan. What he is doing is illegal. Drag this SOB out of the Knesset kicking and screaming! The people have had enough of this traitor! Elections NOW!
12. The Golan – a paramount strategic asset for Israel.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (05.22.08)
Apart from the clear operational advantage that the Golan’s topography provides the IDF, the intelligence gathering value of the area – particularly the ridge of hills on its eastern fringes and from atop Mt. Hermon (aptly dubbed “the eyes of the country”) is indispensable. There is wide agreement among experts that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find adequate substitute to compensate for the loss of the intelligence installations stationed there. Nowadays, the Golan is an integrated region of Israel : http://xrl.us/bjvii
