We were not discussing Hizbullah's ability to fight. We were discussing corruption and its consequences. But as you had no valid argument to counter my comment , you are trying to change the subject.. Regarding the Second Lebanon War any success of Hizbullah was due to the fact that his terrorists were acting from among the civilians (from schools, mosques, etc.) as very well known, and Israel was intimidated to kill civilians. The cowardly fighting tactics of the Hizbullah are very well documented. Very similar to the terrorists in Gaza who are sending rockets onto civilian Israeli targets from among their own civilian population.
32. Olmert Will Never Resign
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.28.08)
Let this be perfectly clear: Ehud Olmert will never resign the position of Prime Minister by his own free-will. He suffers from the same disease that prevented Moshe Katzav from resigning as soon his (alleged) misdeeds were made known, as well as, in a somewhat different way, Mrs. H. Clinton in her current bid for Presidential nomination which she continues to pursue against practically all odds. This is the disease which combines extreme egotism, deeply-rooted meglomania and excessive narcissism. It has appallingly spread far and wide amongst Israeli politicians, including Mr. E. Barak himself who has sadly never learned to apply to himslef the meaning of the term "humility".
33. the price of giving up the land
meir ,   israel   (05.28.08)
anyone who comes to destroy the land of isroel will themselves be destroyed. where is sharon today? does anyone even care? olmert will go in the same way; into the dust bin of jewish history!
34. Barak v Bibbi now or Barak v Bibbi & Livni later
zionist forever   (05.29.08)
If Barak starts thinking like a general and not a politican looking to stay in his job as long as possible then he would realise that forcing early ellections are in his own best interests. Olmert is living on borrowed time its just a matter of time before he is forced out and then the heir to the throne steps in and that will probably be Livni. Livni has stayed behind the scenes so far and let Olmert take all the punishment for policies she supported, she hasnt got any coruption charges to worry about & she has never been PM so she has no history to criticise. If elections are allowed to come as scheduled then Livni will have at least a year to settle in as PM all she has to do is not do anything to contreversial for the rest of this term, try and look like a fresh face and then when the election is forced onto Barak he will be fighting two fronts. Natanyahu the man he is ready for and Livni who can make Kadima look ellectable spliting the vote. So Barak has a choice of doing the honerable thing now which will also give him the ability to say to the public I didnt back Olmert all the way to the end. If he doesnt want to do the honerable thing he can stay in government another year but have a much tougher time fighting the elction when it comes.
35. Ehud Olmert - 12th PM
BARBARA GOLDEN ,   SHREVEPORT LA USA   (05.29.08)
IDF - Your PM is a very special leader. He has new plans coming for you that will bring you more security. Ehud Olmert was picked to lead your nation back in the late 1980's. How do I know this? Ask him about a call he received before a Louisiana girl flew to Israel to speak to him. He met with all the Americans that came with her in support of Israel's people and land.. After he talked with us about Israel... the Lord gave a word to him about a future that has come to be. His Position as the 12TH Prime Minister of Israel is a blessing - G-d has always liked that number Blessed be He.
