Bahrain's king appoints Jewish woman as ambassador to Washington     Associated Press
1. WEIRD, but
WHO KNOWS, It may be a very hopeful sign.
Mike Cato ,   USA   (05.29.08)
2. #1 Not really
Those 50 Bahraini Jews live well in Bahrain and take the views of their neighbors. She wouldn't be appointed otherwise. I bet they use her to tear Israel a new one.

3. nono family==tight with arab oil and
The Nono family pf Bahrain was involved with Arab oil intersts in selling petroleum to South Africa during apartheid regime. I wrote a number of investigative articles back in the 1980s, some of which appeared in theNew Republic and Middle Eat Review. ALL of South Africa's oil under apartheid was supplied by the Islamic world--mainly the Arab gulf states and Iran--Of course, Tutu and Mandella never complained any of this this. All these people are scum bags and reek of corruption.

6. Wow! Never thought that could be possible
For this to happen in the Arab world. I do kind of a agree with #1 that it could be a good sign. Could it be Bahrain may open relations with Israel in not too distant future?
Yakov   (05.30.08)
7. I dont believe this for 1 second.
woman AND jew for a position with 10.000 pure arab man candidates? Who is her husband? Is she some kind of "jew for mohamad"? What next? Lesbian-communist for President of Bahrain?
Rehavam ,   Israel   (05.30.08)
8. There's no way she's Jewish.
She might have some Jewish background but I doubt she's a real Jew. All Bahraini Jews are from intermarried families and don't practice Judaism. Don't believe the hype!
