3. The usual blackmail from Shas ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.05.08)
And political machinations & manoeuvering from Labour. Kadima & Labour fear an election & would like to put off the day of reckoning as long as possible. Shas, of course, just has their hand out - their only principle is cash, a little baksheesh & they'll support anyone & anything. As I repeat all the time - you can see how utterly bankrupt our system is. Our politicians, by & large, are not only disconnected from the people, they're not even concerned about the nation's welfare. Only narrow, short-term interests concern them. Our political system needs re-structuring or we will not succeed as a country.
4. He will be indicted long before all this stuff!
redmiike ,   TA - LA - London   (06.05.08)
Mazuz and others know that the country is semi-paralyzed at the moment and that it would be better to issue an indictment whatever its outcome. The country is more important than Olmert and/or the possibility of red faces at the Justice Ministry. Mike

6. Olmert has a solution
Rick ,   New York, NY   (06.05.08)
He and his people have so much money that they will pay off Shas and Labor ministers. Money talks. Olmert will go back to Israel with cash, cash, cash. And Shas, Meretz amd Labor want cash and nothing else. As to this guy from LA, he is a manor Olmeret money man. There are a lot of guys in US with big cash for Olmert, really big.
7. All of Israel supports the dissolution of this Knesset!!!

8. Confused
Michael ,   Moscow, US   (06.05.08)
Confused yet again. Please help me to understand a position of Kenesset right-wing parties, mainly Likud. If all it takes is just to bring a bill to a preliminary reading then why Likud in general and Mr. Netaniyahu in particular won’t do just that? If such a bill will be brought to Kenesset agenda having automatic support from Labor and Shas will constitute a majority of MK’s. Then all it takes is to choose a date. So where is Netaniyahu, Lieberman, Orlev etc.? I’m confused. Please someone from this esteemed forum help to understand this legislative process.
