1. Israel's National Suicide!!!
andy ,   orlando,u.s   (06.08.08)
2. Dreams or nightmares
Daniel ,   TA   (06.08.08)
As far as I'm concerned you can indeed lower your expectations. Until rockets stop firing from Gaza, and calm ensues; we should not bother negotiating any further. As for East Jerusalem a secure corridor and Latrun and other demilatrized zones going to the PA, dream on.
3. From Dan to Etzion Gaver
Sagi ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
from the Sea to the River. Let's give the whole lot over and be done with it. let's be traitors to 60 generations of forefathers and let's all go back to Eastern Europe and North Africa. Let's dismantle the Western Wall and reassemble it in Uganda and forget about 120 years of sacrifice and state building. Our present politicians are leading us down the road to national suicide but the sad part is that we, the People are to blame, we put them in power and only we can remove them, to date we have shown how spineless we are.
4. Push on Olmert!
Chaim   (06.08.08)
Get this peace deal settled already before the fascists on the right ruin our only hope for peace!
5. mafia tactics
Mike ,   Jerusakem   (06.08.08)
hey, i wanna have what you got, if you don't give it to me I'm gonna take it by force
6. Soldiers' Sacrifice
Yisrael ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.08.08)
Will no one remember the many deaths of our soldiers in their efforts to take Latrun , over and over in vain ? And now, to just give it away is not only unconscionable, but borders on the treasonable.
7. Makes sense
Matthew   (06.08.08)
"include the West Bank and Gaza Strip as one continuous geographic unit linked by a secure corridor. The borders will include East Jerusalem, the Jordan River Valley and the Dead Sea, as well as the pre-1967 demilitarized zone – like the Latrun area for example." Why don't you just go ahead and give them Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Be'er Sheva while you're at it? Israel is governed by lunatics.
8. give them Umm al Fahm
Charles   (06.08.08)
in exchange
9. Back to using the Burma road?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.08.08)
Our morally corrupt government is negotiating at negating all our ability to defend ourselves. Jerusalem will be a capital without any major traffic route to it.
10. there is NO chance
moti ,   rbs   (06.08.08)
israelies and jews worldwide will accept this!! Latrun? center of israel going to the arabs? yam hamelach to the arabs? are they smoking crack? no chance-- thank god BB is almost here to get livni out.
11. The big give-away now in progress ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.08.08)
No concern for consequences, no concern for public opinion, no concern for security - secret deals will be pushed down our throats just like Oslo & with even more serious consequences. We are being lied to, betrayed, & rail-roaded by a corrupt gov't. of self-serving & inept political hacks.
12. give away NOTHING but old man OLMART
Yitz ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
13. give away the Latrun? Never!!!
aj ,   USA   (06.08.08)
14. Quite obvious:This government is part of Netura Karta
Miriam ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
disguised in non-chassidic garb.
15. Will the Israeli public really allow this insanity?
David ,   Houston TX   (06.08.08)
The future will be more dangerous, not less. A war with Iran, Syria, and who knows who else is looming. Israel will need more territory to be defensible, not less. Keep Israel and get rid of Olmert, Livni and Barack!
16. Let the people decide
Josephius ,   Jerusalem   (06.08.08)
Few representative will not be able to reach an acceptable partition. In one hand the Israelis would like to keep the maximum possible amount of land with the minimum possible amount of Palestinians and in the other hand the Palestinians are dreaming of an Independent state that will include the maximum of the Palestinian communities and their land as it was before 67 with not even one Jew allowed. Vox Populi Dixit belum Olmertis Qureis Vox sesterzium. Pacem Haloimes est.
17. Qureia probably believes in Santa Claus too - he he he
redmiike ,   TA - LA - London   (06.08.08)
18. Right, Terry. And Olmert embodies the enemy
Millie ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
Latrun??!!! How many Jewish lives were sacrificed on the way to Jerusalem at Latrun. The rusty wreckage of vehicles assest to the horror of a road besieged. Olmert means to sell out ALL of Jerusalem. What does he care for our history when he means to feed the enemy and sacrifice the entire country? He should rot in prison, not just for his greedy shnorring, but for treason. And any MK or adviser who is party to this crime should be thrown in jail with him.
19. ONE BI-NATIONAL STATE !
Ariel ,   Haifa   (06.08.08)
we need one bi national state which in which all cititzens of this state, regardles of their religion, ethnicity are treated as equals infront of the law !!! We DO NOT NEED AN ARPARDHEIT STATE !!! WE DO NOT NEED the Jewish National Found WE DO NOT NEED FAMILY REUNIFICATION LAWS ! ISRAEL IS ALREADY AN ARPARDHEIT STATE !!!!! The international community should start thinking and implementing a BOYCOT against our racist state !!!
20. The Oslo peace process didn't have any chance to bring peace
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.08.08)
Only a peace process with the acceptance by the Arabs to be resettle in other Arab countries had a chance to bring peace to the region. Financial compensations would be the main reason for the Arabs to accept their resettlement. The best solution for the Arabs would be to leave the borders of "greater Israel," so that Israel could then annex the West Bank and perhaps Gaza. Advancing this solution, daily, at any occasion, might creat a new perception and bring peace. Any different solution presents a risk of an endless war. For more details : http://xrl.us/bjcgx
21. People, don't believe everything you read.
DkS ,   J'lem, IL   (06.08.08)
Just like Mofaz is negotiating with himself when he states that there will be a peace deal with Syria without giving up the Golan, the Palestinians are negotiating with themselves when they think that Israel will give up the Latrun area. Until there will be some kind of final deal on the table there is nothing to panic about. For now, talks and statements are indeed just that: talks and statements. Apart from that: any peace deal should mainly be based on demographic considerations and not just on the '49 armistice lines. As far as possible, Arab areas close to the green line inside IL proper should be traded for Jewish areas inside the West Bank. Nekuda.
22. Why is Shas so quiet? They lie again about leaving!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
They said if east Jerusalem was offered on the table they would leave. Isnt this what has happened, so why arent they announcing they are leaving the government??? Pack of liars! They can answer to Hashem for their betrayal to Israel!
23. #3 Sagi, is everyone spineless except you? Doubt it!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (06.08.08)
Olmert wormed his way in through Sharons hard work. After he got in power, He changed the parties agenda to suit his own purposes. Nobody expected Olmert to change face and turn left after being elected. He fooled everyone including the ministers that backed him. WHat he has done is turn the government into an autocracy where the people have no say or power. He has changed laws to stop the people from ousting him and controls the media to squash any complaints. The people are powerless to get him removed......even when theres demonstrations, the media hardly reports about them. And Sagi, i never voted for him but i bet you did,,,,as i couldnt see you voting for Leiberman because of your blind hatred of the religious.!
24. There really is no need to worry
Arie ,   BaGolan   (06.08.08)
The olmert gangsters are in their last throes of death. This is simply a diversion which will not pass the muster of reality and the will of the ISraeli people. Except for the gangsters, meretz, the TA and Haifa leftists, and the PA/hamas/IAEA, we are not prepared to commit national suicide
25. WHAT'S THIS CAMEL JOCKEY SMOKING?
Ben Avraham ,   Tel Aviv   (06.08.08)
26. The next government will not honor a treaty
jason white ,   afula,israel   (06.08.08)
signed by the cowards and traitors of the kadima/labor/shas/gil gang. We will remove the palis from all our land and resettle or bury them in an arab land.
27. A real peace treaty formula
Arie ,   BaGolan   (06.08.08)
>>No discussions until the PA/hamas firmly denounce anti-Israel activity, remove all Jew-hatred from the schools and TV >>Exchange the Arab triangle for the settlements. The Arabs in the triangle have long screamed for PA rule, let them have it! >> Establish the border area and complete the fence. along with mine fields to prevent incursions. Strong fences DO make good neighbours. >>SEAL all entryways. Disengagement is just that. We would not be obligated to feed clothe or supply them! >>Just as Jews are not allowed to own property in any arab entity, especially PA/hamas areas, the same is to hold true in Israel. You will identify as either Israeli or Palestinian, regardless Jew Arab or Druze, and only Israelis can own property >>Demilitarized zone/no man's land on pa/hamas side-anyone crossing can be shot on sight >>Let them develop their own economy, employing their own people. We are not obligated to hire palis to work here just because the pay and conditions are better >>The palis will have to develop a health and education infrastructure. Our tax shekels will not pay for them >>Jerusalem is and always remain our unified capital >>They agree to accept, without having to give anything in return, olmert and his gang >>suggestions accepted
28. give away latrun
meyer shwartz ,   ashdod israel   (06.08.08)

29. Livni: "What's yours is yours; what's mine is negotiable"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (06.08.08)
Olmert, now effectively Israel's first "Palestinian" prime minister, and Livni have turned the Palestinian strategy on its head. Instead of acting, as is their responsibility, to defend and promote Israel's interests, they are ready to sacrifice everything for a "deal". A few days ago Bar Ilan's Dr. Mordechai Keidar on Al-Jazeera drove the interviewer nuts by standing firm on Israel's rights, belittling Islamic claims on Jerusalem. etc. When was the last time anyone heard Olmert, Livni, or the rest so assert Israel's rights? Instead, it's always "What can we give you so you'll accept us?" Israelis often act foolishly, but most are not stupid. The government must therefore adopt the "Beilin" strategy - negotiate a deal in secret, offer it as a "fait accompli", then berate those who reject the deal as "not wanting peace".
30. # 19 We Do Not Need Muslims Pretending to be Jewish
Thomas   (06.08.08)
We do not need to live under dhimmi laws. We do not need to share a state with people who believe Jews should pay them for the right to be Jewish by way of jizya. We don't need people who wish to remain in the seventh century. Israel doesn't have oil and thus cannot afford your lifestyle. The international community has enough to deal with twenty+ other conflicts involving Muslims.
