Hamas: Gaza will become graveyard for IDF soldiers if raided     Ali Waked
1. a ceasefire with an entity that wants to obliterate us
Now that really makes sense; "Okay, we'll agree to temporarily stop trying to wipe you out. For now. But we will, no doubt, no questions asked, cards on the table, WILL try to eventually do it. Just 'later'. Okay with you? Fine, bye. Hugs, kisses, be well, kill you later . . Can NOBODY SEE THIS MADNESS?
GOOD PALI, BAD PALI ,   wtf?!   (06.11.08)
2. Treason is a criminal offence
Look at the headline and then guess who the writer is! Ali Waked of course Hamas's man on the ground in Israel. Have Hamas bought shares in Yediot? But, don't worry, we are the decendants of Nachshon, of Joshua, of the Maccabees. His words will not change our courage.
Ehud Banai ,   Ashdod Israel   (06.11.08)
3. Winning In Gaza With Minimal Casualties Is Doable
What We Must Do In Gaza To Bring Peace: 1. Drop fliers on a terrorist location; say Beit Hanoun. All civilians have one hour to leave. 2. After EXACTLY one hour, begin carpet bombing. 3. Follow up with artillery- lots of it. 4. Send in a commando force like Sayeret Egoz, Matkal, etc... to capture and hold key positions. 5. Send in tanks and infantry. 6. Kill any and every terrorist remaining. 7. Do the same in the next chosen location. 8. REMAIN in these places. 9. Do this until the terrorists surrender UNCONDITIONALLY. 10. Expel ALL of them and their supporters. Send them back to Tunis- minus those who need to be punished for their crimes. 11. Rebuild the beautiful, vibrant, thriving Jewish communities that were uprooted for “peace”. 12. Voila! Peace. Our lives are worth more than their lives. Our soldiers' lives are worth more than their lives. We can win while minimizing ALL casualties. And we should. It's the moral thing to do.
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (06.11.08)
4. Do not invade! Just bombard they till they surrender!
Turn gaza into a pali grave yard. Let them flee for their miserable lives and let that be a lesson to our enemies!

5. Well, this IS the weakest gov't. we've ever had.
Hamas is right about that point. It is actually an arguable point if we even have a gov't. And Olmert/Barak/Livni running any kind of military operation, well, that's not a very funny joke. Don't get me wrong - Hamas must be eliminated. Eliminated is a euphemism by the way. No ceasefire, no phoney "negotiations" through intermediaries, no consideration of Mr Abbas, no attention to foreign pressure, who cares what anti-Israel NGO's say - the bottom line is that we must eliminate Hamas. But not with Olmert/Livni/Barak at the helm. We waited this long - we can wait a little longer. No soldiers should risk their lives to save Olmert's skin - We should not be distracted from the most important issue we face - a change of gov't. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of the end of the "Oslo Mentality" which has caused us so much grief.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.11.08)
6. It's not Olmert who would plan an invasion in Gaza
It's Gabi Ashkenazi - and he is no Dan Halutz. He is a seasoned army man. He has also learned the lessons from the second Lebanon war. I think we are ready to kick ass in Gaza. And if they, like so many other cowardly terrorists, hide in civilian areas, we cannot be held responsible for those deaths. It's tuff luck. I think we have come to the end of the road with the rocket fire - it's time for us to be brutal and put all the international laws of war and etiquette aside. Can’t say they were not warned.
Isabella ,   Israel   (06.11.08)
7. #1 -Hugs, kisses, be well, kill you later . . .
I see the madness - all do. We are a chicken-sh!t nation, led by inept, spinless morons!
Need for a change!   (06.11.08)
8. Justification of collective punishment !
Over sixty-five percent of Arabs in Gaza support continued suicide bombings against Israeli civilians, according to a report released lately by the Arab Jerusalem Media and Communication Center. Sixty-nine percent are “pessimistic” or “very pessimistic” about reaching any peaceful settlement with Israel. More at : http://xrl.us/bjoje

9. i have no doubt what so ever !!!!!!
and there also might be some more shalit prisoners , think good before you make a desision like this , espesialy when this will not help us with anything , qassams will keep on falling and all those killed and being held as prisoners will have lost there lives and freedom for nothing ..
(06.11.08)
10. Gaza = graveyard for Hamas and Iran.
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.11.08)
11. #9 I also have no doubt whatsoever!!!
That it is people with your mindset that has put us in this possition in the first place. It is time to act with complete resolution and finality. For all of our sakes.
Yehuda ,   Holit, Israel   (06.11.08)
12. Go...Gabi...go
Go, and show the world that Israel is not tired of defending itself . Go, and the army will follow you. Go, and get those Hamas leaders. Go and you`ll see how passively the Gazans will acquiesce, as they are fed up of the Hamas era suffering.
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (06.11.08)
13. # 11 , but we have been doing what you are calling for,,,
for the past 60 years , and we have gained nothing but more qassams and bigger ressistence from people that beleive in there fight and not like us ( devided ) and unsure of what we are doing.. wake up before your children are also victims of this losing fight ( on our side ) that is .....
(06.11.08)
14. # 12
have you forgotten that we are fighting not only hamas but 100s of millions of arabs all around us , and we are the loosers now and in the long run ......
(06.11.08)
15. #12 I wish you'd go!!!!
Secular Jew ,   Israel   (06.11.08)
16. Elections first!
We can not afford the inept Olmert to go in and attack only to retreat the moment he gets USA and EU pressure! Even currently with Ashkenazi at the helm, if Olmert says retreat he has to follow orders! Elections first then let Bibi do the job properly!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (06.11.08)
17. Hamas gets it right. The Olmert bunch are THE WORST
Hamas is right on this one. The Three Stooges----Livni, Olmert, and Barak---Three Secular Ham Eaters---are he worst. Get a real government, and liquidate Hamas and Gaza.
hymie zoltsveis ,   NYC, NY, USA   (06.11.08)
18. #13 I wake up all the time
To mortars and rockets, praying the next one will not have my wife's or childrens name on it. It is indecisive fools that have divided us. It is indecisive fools that have left us vulnerable.I love this land and am going to fight for it. If you don't have the stomach for it go to the EU or US. I am sure there are nice large beds there for you to hide under.
Yehuda ,   Holit, Israel   (06.11.08)
19. The Russians were unable to subdue Afganistan, but the US
did with cluster bombs. Perhaps that is what needs to be used in Gaza.
Rivkah   (06.11.08)
20. #17 Concentrate on your own government
Tel Aviv   (06.11.08)
21. Hamas: Gaza will become graveyard
well hamas has certainly turned gaza into a graveyard, for palestinians. unfortunately.
Jim ,   Jerusalem Israel   (06.11.08)
22. Remember what Gen. Patton said:
"Don't die for your country, make the other son of a b---- die for his country" Use your superior fire power and forget about the oxymoron of a "moral war".
Zooog ,   US   (06.11.08)
23. #15
It's because of Israelis who think like you and Olmert and Beilin that we're in this situation. You wreak of weakness.
Jane   (06.11.08)
24. Our government is weak and stupid
But if Hamas is judging the IDF by the actions of the government they are going to find out that they have badly underestimated us. We did not use anywhere near our power since 1973. Just let us use it and end the terrorism.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.11.08)
