it's not a victory for you, morons....can't you read??? the young recruits left to attend training in other locations and instead of them "other idf military soldiers" will take their place. have the arab terrorists not realized that these other soldiers would be specialized forces and elite units better prepared to counter their terror incursions and attacks? yes, israel took the less experienced out of that base and put in elite units experienced with these morons. morons, do not celebrate. we have not given you a victory by removing these inexperienced soldiers, but have given you a BIG HEADACHE by putting idf members there that can really expedite your way to allah. only morons would consider this a victory. israel considers it a responsibility to protect less experienced recruits and bring in an elite unit to show the morons what victory really is.

Stop kidding yourself. This government is retreating, and for the first time in Israel's history the IDF is not charging the enemy but pulling back from the enemy. This is the same way they fought and lost the Lebanon War.

One can argue "objectively" whether an event constitutes a victory, but if the enemy sees it as such, it only encourages them to further aggression. Barak's night-time withdrawal from Lebanon was seen as a victory by Hizbullah, encouraging Arafat to prepare for the 2000 Intifada. Failure of Israel to strike Syrian weapons transit points during the war was seen to reflect a fear to confront Syria, thus encouraging the ongoing resupply post UNSC 1701. Israel's inclination to go for a "truce" with Hamas on their terms shows they can continue aggression against Israel with impunity. After all, Israel is seen as weak, indecisive, and "ripe for the taking". For a change, try a different approach. Let's hand them setbacks and defeats. Let's NOT give them hundreds of terrorists for one soldier; let's NOT dangle the prospect of ceding territory in the north, or parts of the capitol. Tell them, in effect, "If you want peace, here are OUR terms." And if they aggress, hit them hard. Make them pay the price. Only if they see defeat, and not victory, in their future will they choose another path.

Any overture towards peace, any compromise is seen as a victory for the Arabs, a defeat for Israel, a victory for terrorism and what appears to be a weakened state. You'll never give the Arabs land and hear them say, "The Israelis are giving us land because they want peace."

The terrorists are precisely correct in their analysis. The homefront has become the front lines as the army is retreating in droves. Let's face facts. The cowardly and craven leadership have injected HUGE hope in the minds of the terorrists. Is this their goal after all is said & done?
