If Olmert says that Shalit has to be part of the deal and Hamas says that he isn't part of the deal then you have no deal at all. The cease fire can be broken at any time by any party. I'll lay odds that Israel and not Hamas will be the first to break the "truce". Then Olmert will say that because Shalit wasn't returned there never was a cease fire.

As for Gilad being insperable from the deal thats more bullshit Gilad isnt part of the package here this ceacefire is about Israel opening crossings and ending all restrictions in Gaza in exchange for quiet for the next 6 months. Olmert might use the quiet to accept Hamas demands of releasing over 1000 terrorists many with blood on their hands but he isnt getting Gilad as part of this scam. Next time Olmert decides to look into Gilads eyes he should ask himself why am I not the one being held hostage because I make it my mission to harm Israel whilst Gilad was snatched while he was doing a job that involves protecting it. Thanks Ynet for the article the other day, I never would have known about it otherwise. The Negev has always been neglected by Israeli PMs since Ben-Gurion - he was the ONLY one who had some sort of vision for this land that makes up 80% of Israel.
