2. Armed Struggle until Destruction of Israel
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (06.19.08)
In a video posted on a Hamas website in December, the commander of the terrorist wing of Hamas in North Gaza, Raed Said Hussein Saad (Abu Muadh), made clear that Hamas would continue fighting not “one inch of our holy land is in the hands of the Jews.” To make clear that he was talking about the destruction of Israel, as opposed to simply the West Bank, he said, “Our flag will fly on the minarets of Jerusalem, and the walls of Acre, and [in] the quarters of Haifa” – all of these are Israeli cities.

Calling out from Fantasyland where he resides in a permanant state of utopian revery, we have the voice of another advocate of defeat based on daydreams & false assumptions. These are the same voices that have led us into one disaster after another. Failure after failure cannot penetrate this delusional state of denial of reality. The author empties words of their intellectual content, of their meaning to describe reality. Inconvenient facts are just ignored, consequences dismissed. Best yet is the false morality of positions that cause harm to others in the name of good intentions.
5. Remember what happened to the 3rd republic

6. what utter nonsense

The failure of previous "lulls" has been that the other side simply hasn't kept them, nor do they ever intend to. As for Shalit, Hamas has repeatedly stated what will allow his return. It is not a "trust" issue, it is letting murderers go to murder again. It is reinforcing the pavlovian response that Arabs should kidnap Israelis and Israel will always overpay. How is handing Hizbollah a propaganda victory "good for the Israeli interest"? Especially now as they are seen as people willing to shoot up Lebanese? When has the "fruit of normalization" ripened? In Lebanon? In the territories under Oslo? With Egypt? With Jordan? Oh and Clemenceau was principal author of the Versailles Treaty, yet another great "peace" agreement, one famously refered to as the "peace to end all peace".... Where does Israel find these retards?
7. Shalit in prison is NOT a truce

R saus ,   Tel Aviv   (06.19.08)
When a country's people see its government surrender on all fronts having not gained a single achievement in 2 years.. only one disastrous failure after another, and then it is offered more failure & Livnis & Baraks yes we are in a dour mood. This is the worst govt in the history of the State of Israel, stop selling us any different. If these people were leaders they all would have resigned long ago.
9. You misunderstood this guy
Ron ,   Tel Aviv   (06.19.08)
What is important for him is that Hamas will get more rockets and soon will kill more more people in Ashdod (as this guys like the author says, more likudniks). Remember, how they were laughing at the "stupid people of Sderot, this likudniks" before disengagement. He knows it very well. Will the rest of you understand it, at last?

Today Islamic Jihad terrorists fired more rockets at Sderot and broke the less than week old truce. Of course, the Hamas terrorists claimed that they were still "honoring the truce." The issue is what is meant by "honoring the truce". Since Hamas is the governing body of Gaza and is making no attempt to go after violators of the truce, they are not honoring it. They are clever. They send their men to shoot rockets and claim that the terrorists are from Islamic Jihad, not Hamas. Everybody knows that they are the same. Sort of like Hell's Angels and the Breed--2 renegade biker gangs that are the same except each gang wants power. Interesting that the author of the article is silent. Also interesting that the corrupt and incompetent narcissistic Prime Minister is doing nothing in response to the violation of the truce. Oh, Barak just decided to keep one of the checkpoints closed. Gee, he's tough. I'm sure that Hamas is quaking in its boots.
