The reason for democracy (a.k.a. political voting) is to have self-determination. The UN partition never indicated a country by the name of palestine. Palestine was the entire area of what is modern day israel and jordan. The borders of Israel were of course altered by war as happens to every country throught the history of the world. A new state called palestine is just coming up now only because the jordanians reject the palestinian refugees and deny them citizenship. Israel has gained much land through wars that were waged against her but in the end we must work with the present and not the past. Today Israel is Israel and it is impossible to try to relive 1948 or 1967 since things changed drasticaly over the last few decades. Jordan is the real homeland of the palestinians and is occupied by a vast majority of palestinians today. This is the only real solution to the palestinian problem.
