As far as I know if you present 1.000 complaints and 999 are false or baseless, you cannot say that the police is protecting the settlers because just 0.1% were trialed. Please let me know if I am mistaken!

Yesh Din accepts Palestinian cases and logs their existence statistically, as a matter of policy, before investigating the facts of the case. They omit that many are ambiguous at best. For example, there was a case last year where a palestinian woman claimed her husband had been knocked out at close range. She said that the perpetrator had been able to sneak up on the couple without them noticing because it was pitch dark. How then were they sure it was a settler and not an iternal feud, More importantly, how did the neighbors 'witness' this, as two families (living hundreds of meters away) claimed. Do they walk they have magical night vision? It's easy to make accusations and harder to make them stick, particularly if the facts suggest that the complainants are liars.
