61. #60 bijan
(07.11.08)
what happened in lebanon is a direct response israel had for the capture and killing by terrorists of several israeli citizens/soldiers ON OUR SOVREIGN TERRITORY. this was a violation of international law and a violation of sovreign borders as well as an act of terrorism, murder and abduction. the israeli response to this blatant terror attack upon its citizenry was warranted and was just in many ways. israel dod bomb the only areas that hizbullah operated from and not other areas in lebanon. israel had dismantled the infrastructure of this terrorist cesspool called south lebanon. hizbullah didn't just committ these crimes, but has pestered israel's north with constant barrages of missiles directed towards innocent civilians and civilian infrastructure as well. in doing so, israel tried to eliminate the stronghold that hizbullah had on southern lebanon and succeeded admirably at the time. so much so that saniora cried in front of the un for an immediate cease fire because he couldn't take israeli response any longer. on the other hand, hassan nasrallah admitted that had he known israel will react in such a manner, he wouldn't have done what he did. i ask you.....was it really worth for nasrallah to kill and kidnap israelis? rather than you blaming israel, you should pay very careful attention to what nasrallah said and the guilt he felt for doing this terrorist act and endangering lebanese civilians with his immature irresponsible actions towards another sovereign country. israel had no problem with lebanon since 82. there was no need for hizbullah to operate under the fake "we are here to defend lebanon and its freedom". this was just an excuse. what were they defending prior to the second lebanon war? could it be that they were defending iran and syria's interests in lebanon and israel just paid the price for it with 3 dead soldiers? could it be that hizbullah is not really interested in protecting lebanese, but just syrian and iranian stronghold on lebanon, using lebanon and its civilians as a puppet? think about that. there is NO REASON FOR HIZBULLAH TO BE IN LEBANON AT ALL. LEBANON IS NOT UNDER DANGER FROM ISRAEL AND ISRAEL IS NOT INTERESTED IN LEBANON WHATSOEVER. if you understand jewish mentality, especially after the holocaust, as the basis for their self preservation, you would understand israeli actions in the second lebanese war. we can now defend ourselves and will never ever again go and die not fighting our death sentence. remember this and you'll understand the israeli mentality and the fact that no matter what, you arabs will never be able to eradicate the only democratic, civil, vgenius and afdvanced and rich jewish country from the middle east. once you accept it, it'll be the end of the arab israeli problem. period!
62. LIMITED AVENUES FOR ISRAEL.........#51
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (07.11.08)
Going through articles for the last 4 to 5 years, all of us know the options available to Israel. All this time, however,USA participating was very certain..............but not anymore.Don't neccessarily agree with me but USA has found itself bogged down already in volatile Iraq and uncertain Afghanistan. To imagine Israel attempting to carry out this catastrophic and definitely futile mission on its own sounds to me a far cry.............I simply cannot imagine it.Am I underestimating the Israelis?May be...................are you overestimating their capacity to undertake this type of mission? Whatever the course of action it is going to be bloody and there should be caution all around to excercise restraint as those who are writing as if it is a kind of football match may land up regretting even having writen in the talk-back.
63. America is NOT Ephraim, Pinhead!
A. Magnus ,   USA   (07.11.08)
You 'British Israelites' need to seriously check your biblical history. America is the new Rome, and just like during the time of the Maccabbees America will use Israel to get its way in the Middle East. You should already know what happened to Israel once the first Roman Empire got done with it.
64. #57, Brewing? Olmert couldn't brew a pot a coffee
Jake   (07.11.08)
I do not believe Olmert has the will, the heart, or the stomach to carry out a mission of this caliber. If he did, he would have ordered a moratarium on all flippant remarks from his pathetic cabinet ministers. What is more, I believe that if he did try it, it would be FUBAR, just like in July 2006. The man has the reverse Midas touch. Everything he touches turns into sh**t. Sorry, Terry, but it is not enough to have the technology. If the leadership is lacking, the mission fails.
65. double Ha Ha Ha Ha
tea man ,   marjayoun lebanon   (07.11.08)

66. Look at it logically.Israel is planning to conquer Greece
(07.11.08)
Thats why the flights are in a westerly direction
67. To # 60 (Nameless)
Bijan ,   New York   (07.11.08)
Your logic: Hizbullah blahblahblah. Israel blahblahblah. Syria blahblahblah Bottom-line: Two soldiers killed, 3 soldiers kidnapped and we destroyed half of a country and killed 1000 civilian. That satisfies your manhood. BTW, (not that it is important) I am not an Arab
68. #67 what are you talking about?
Jake   (07.11.08)
8 Israeli soldiers were killed, two kidnapped, and several Israeli border villages rocketed before a single shot was fired by Israel. Also , the number you cite of ""1000 civilians killed" is wrong, because the figure includes several hundred dead Hizbullah fighters. Bottom line is, you have no credibility, just a big mouth.
69. #67 Bijan said "I am not Arab"
Jake   (07.11.08)
But Bijan is an Iranian name. Iran is the #1 supplier of Hizbullah, and Iran is an Islamic theocracy that gloats about Israel's impending doom on a daily basis. Sure, Iranians may not speak Arabic. But in this day and age, they are one and the same, as birds of a feather flock together.
70. #62, This is an artificial crisis created by the media.
Jake   (07.11.08)
I seriously do not believe Israel would attack Iran directly. However as for Iran's proxies on Israel's doorstep, not even all the money in the world could buy them an insurance policy.
71. Israeli soldiers in Iraq
Some Iraqi ,   Baghdad   (07.11.08)
If the Israelis really flew over Iraqi airspace without permission from the Iraqi government then a lawsuit needs to be filed against the Israeli government because this is against international law. Iraq is a democratic country that has it's own laws and constitution, Israel can't do whatever it wants in our territory. The Americans will regret this if it's true!
72. To Jake
Bijan ,   New York   (07.12.08)
I wonder if you are capable of letting your hatred go for a while? Maybe you can see the light (as the saying goes there is hope for everyone)
73. Your monnopoly on power in ME is ending
Nimat ,   NY   (07.12.08)
and you know there is nothing you can do about it. Now you aretrying to get US to come and do the job for you but it won't work. People are waking up.
74. #72
(07.12.08)
sorry buddy bijan! you are avoiding answering your critics regarding lebanon. you are purpusfully skirting the issues. however, what you are doing aside from that is avoidance of facts....could that be because you have such limited intelligence as not to be able to tell CAUSE AND EFFECT?
75. To #71
Jake   (07.12.08)
"Iraq is a democratic country that has it's own laws and constitution, Israel can't do whatever it wants in our territory. " And it was the democratic Iraqi governmnent which denied this entire story, so let's just just leave it at that.
76. #67, more like....
danny   (07.12.08)
Half country blah blah.... 1000 "civilian" - at least quarter so far have turned out to be Hizbollah - blah blah. Bottom line: Hizbollah picked a fight - repeatedly, this was their sixth attack in nearly as many months - shelled civilian targets - real civilians, not made up ones - for 33 days and lost the bet. One has to wonder why you hate Israel so much you feel the need to repeat Hizbollah lies....
77. #74
Bijan ,   NY   (07.12.08)
No my friend. I am not avoiding anything. I will get to point of discussion. But first we need to let our hatred go to have a meaningful discussion. I hope you agree that things like wishing a nation to “burn in hell” and alike won’t solve any problem. The subject is millions of lives not a football match. So first let’s come out of our comfort zone then talk.
78. #62 IF ITS A FOOTBALL MATCH...ONLY DREAMERS BACKING IRAN
DOOMHAM ,   PARASITE-UK   (07.12.08)
...and you pal are the Moorish wanker of all time. You friends will soon be getting what they deserve. Like others here, we only wish you were in Iran when they get belted and not bloodsucking off the UK. Go home!
79. Not from what I hear.
Leonard ,   LA, USA   (07.12.08)
I don't know where ynet gets their info but the story is true. Maybe it is classified in which case I am sorry to let it out. But I think most people already know it and Iran knows it. Iran and Syria signing a pack and the latest move in Lebanon. It all fits folks . The world is ready to let loose.
80. Blast them out of the sky!
Vox Veritatis ,   New York, USA   (07.12.08)
I hope the Iranians blast you war-mongering little pigs out of the sky then bulldoze your miserable patch of stolen land. When Israel shows the world what is underneath Dimona and signs the non-proliferation treaty, then we'll talk, you hypocritical lying false-flagging wretches.
81. Could be
Fradi ,   NY, US and A   (07.12.08)
It is where they were going when they wandered into Syrian air space. And had to dump their bombs to go super sonic to escape. Then hit that suposed nuclear site that turned out to be nothing. But attacking Iran to help the globalist corporations get Iran's oil... never who or what it will be next. And their corruption is way beyond anything seen before.
82. TO DOOMHAM..............#78
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (07.12.08)
From the word go,your talk-back is full of vengence which I don't deserve. What makes me a friend of Iran?Is it because I have logically addressed the issue? If so,be it so.But what you are aiming at is personal vengence which does no good to freedom of expression. Coming back to the subject..................have the last 24 hours development brought any sense into your thick head?..........if you have any at all?
83. #63 When all fails, call em names....
Destiny Comes.... ,   Gainesville, U.S.A.   (07.12.08)
You might want to clear the air out of your head. I get my Biblical History from the Book of Truth, which is the Bible. In the past years which I have been reading the Bible, and with the presence of the Holy Spirit, I understand more than ever the Biblical History of Israel and the Twelve Tribes, as for you green ears, at the age of fifty one, I have grown out of the pinhead years, but for you stix and stones is the way to go. you fool yourself to think America is the New Rome. The Bible is very clear to those who know their God, as to who Gods most powerfull Son Is. Don't stab in the dark for the truth, Read the Bible....Destiny Comes....
84. Israeli troops in Iraq
John Maszka ,   Chicago, IL   (07.12.08)
I wonder what we would if Iraqi troops were in Israel.
