'Recommendation to indict PM expected within weeks'    Efrat Weiss
1. Corruption
What seems clear is that there is at least the suspicion of an amazing degree of corruption in the highest of offices in the State of Israel. The honorable thing to do would be for Olmert to step aside. Do not expect Olmert to do the honorable thing. Expect a narcissist to do everything possible to hold onto power.
Sam ,   New York   (07.13.08)
2. More police on Olmert detail than terror investigations, Hmm
Olmerts arrogance is only outdone by his moral turpitude. How long will the litany of charges grow before my fellow Israelis join me in removing Olmert and all the other despots from the government. We need new general elections and not the status quo! Israels policy of arab appeasment should end and arabs should be prepared for painful concessions. Peace is a two way street and Olmert has created a oneway slide for Israel into oblivion. Let Olmert ride his creation by himself!
Yonatan ,   Nahariya   (07.13.08)
3. Charges to be filed within weeks? Monday would be to late
even. He can't stop ,   it this time! Rueben   (07.13.08)
4. Olmert; show a little class and resign.
The scandal does no good for Israel. Your bid for power broking is over.
petra ,   USA   (07.13.08)
5. Such a sham
Its all politics, the media and politically tainted prosecuters have dragged Olmert through the streets since he was elected. So far he has been cleared of the other "scandles". But they won't stop, no matter how good Israel is doing right now. If you want reform and new policy maybe it is best to work with the government instead of trying to pull a coup everytime things don't go your way.
zach ,   US   (07.13.08)
6. If you put olmert in prision he will corrupt the guards.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.13.08)
7. #2 - I and many others are ready to 'join you'.
I and many others are ready to take part in mass protests but I personally don't know how to organize one. I made Aliyah 5 years ago and have assimilated well but not to the point of knowing how to organize a mass protest. Like it says in the movie, 'Field of Dreams' - "build it and they will come". Mike

8. #5 - of course it's all politics - Olmert is PM
Olmert and his entire family are a total disaster on EVERY front and almost the entire population want to get rid of him asap The only people that don't want him to go are those that are dependent on him. Presumably you are family or are dependent on him politically. Of course, people are paid to write posts similar to yours. Mike
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (07.13.08)
9. ohlmert
the sooner the better.
sas ,   israel   (07.13.08)
10. #6 That was a good one! I'm still laughing over it!!
Rueben ,   Israel   (07.13.08)
11. #8 Well along those same lines....Protest & he will go!
Philip ,   usa   (07.13.08)
12. #5We lost soliders, were throw out of our houses, have
qassams lobbed at us every day & not one danm thing gets done about it, pulled out of a war before completing the mission, and have a corrupt leader who is to damn tired to lead Israel into ANYTHING victorious. With that said, please tell us oh wise one how working within the frame work of this schmutz is going to lead to a healthy reform for Israel. Pull your head out of your @ss. NOTHING has gone the right way for ALL of Israel since the first day Olmert stepped in office. The only way to change the course for the good of ALL Israelis is to get rid of the idiot that's at the helm!
Rueben ,   Israel   (07.13.08)
