Mazuz will indict Olmert when the case is ripe and Olmert has said that he will step down and if he doesn't then MKs must make him do so. It is the AGs job to serve an indictment where there is probable cause. Mazuz is stalling to protect his buddy Olmert.

Mazuzz is a very good univerisy professor of law. But he is not a decisive practionner. no one asks him to install or replace the PM. But if the evidence points to indictment, do it and stop wasting bloody time. A seasoned lawyer would do better than an academic who is painfully slow and hard to decide.

Olmert is the most corrupt individual in Israel. So, of coruse he will make nosies against the AG. this is typical criminal behaviour, they always remember the judge who put them away. People can say what they want about Mazuz, but he is doing a pretty honest job in a very harsh climate.

It was Mazuz who ruled that Sharon's coma was only "temporary" so Olmert as his deputy could be PM. If Mazuz had not made this false medical diagnosis, the premiership would have passed to the one with the most backing in the Knesset -- Binyamin Netanyahu.
