Whats wrong with demanding that arabs do national service? Both the heredim & the arabs should make a contribution to society. Why should jews go risk their lives to protect these arabs & heredim if they are not willing to give anything back. I wouldn want an arab anywhere near the IDF considering the fact that the fifth colum is growing. The heredim take what society gives them and offer nothing in return. Whats wrong with demanding that the arabs & heredim contribute some kind of civilian national service? Why cant we demand they get their hands dirty for once .. why not fix up those bomb shelters that are so in need of renovation. There are plenty of jobs we could be demanding from them. If you want the passport then we want something back in exchange. Bishra says that national service is used as a weapon tells the arabs they are a periah if the do national service. I was being sarcastic. Those Israeli Arabs sound like some people around here who have equal access to the same things as everybody else, yet blame god, the world, and history for not finding the gumption, drive or desire in their hearts to take advantage of those blessings. And just like over here, it looks like Israel has the same polititicians and whiners, who make a great living feeding into and off that self-defeating behavior. Be that over here or over there, the heads of every last one of them should be stuck into the nearest toilet and held there until the mere joy of coming up for air would give their ives a much better perspective. Just to avoid that ending up being the main issue, we'll use filtered spring water for the exercise.
