31. there's already a deserted Jewish city in every Arab country
(07.18.08)
32. to # 24 and 25
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (07.18.08)
to 24: what you are saying is not correct. I know recently the Druze (who serve in the IDF and die defending the jewish state) rioted due the cell phone towers installations in their town and attacked the house of a jewish resident, but that is an exception. The fact is that jews can live anywhere they want in israel, they just choose not to live in arab towns because arab towns are always neglected, have lower standard of living than jewish ones, sewer still runs in the streets, etc, etc.. that is why Jews choose to live in the beter organized, well planned, government funded jewish towns..
33. great, that's all we need!
oded   (07.18.08)
and what will we get in retun? let's see... anti israel ferver and sentiments, hatred run deep, thier""" elected officials"" will continue to cooporate with the enmies, lazy, non- tax paying parsites, who will continue to undrmine israel! and thier prize? a new city.
34. TO # 30: Israel has history of supporting radical islam
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (07.18.08)
when radical muslim terrorist wanted to illigally build a mosque adjacent to our holy church in Nazareth, the likud government was more than happy to support the terrorists and create a conflict in nazareth. During the 1st intifada in the west bank and gaza, it was the Israeli government that met with reprisentative of a lthen ittle known terrorist group called Hamas and supported them in their fight against mainstream Fatah.
35. to # 26 and national service
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (07.18.08)
FYI, The number of arab volunteers for the IDF has risen sharply in the last few years. At the same time the number of jewish service dodgers have risen. The silent majority in the arab street is for national/military services, in fact many are doing it against requests by arab parties not to do it. However, the government never attempted to reach out to those moderates and give them a stroger voice and show the rest that once you serve you are welcomed in the collective israeli society.
36. to # 15: integration is alive and working
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (07.18.08)
.. It is not a pipe dream, look at all the mixed cities in the country.. Integration is not only possible, it is the only way to have a stronger, more secure Israel.
37. Yes, I agree let ARAB move NORTH...
Fortune ,   Brooklyn   (07.18.08)
Make that area called Syria, Iraq or better IRAN. What is wrong with the DEFECTS in the KNESSET. They probably lost their minds from eating too much SCHUG (hot sauce) Wake up Israeli's before you are ALL surrounded by enemy #1 OUST ALL MK'S N O W ! ! ! ! !
38. # 22 Terry: No need to freak out
Rami ,   Nazareth, israel   (07.18.08)
Many israeli Arabs live in Eilat, you might know one or two... you know they are not bad people and harbor no hatred toward jews. Just like the rest, they just want to make a living, raise their kids and have a comfortable life...
39. There's a place for us. A time and place,...
Gideon Reader   (07.18.08)
it's pretty obvious to me that everyone in the Knesset and the PM's Office are either blind staggering drunk, or simply have their "Stupid Switches" permanantly stuck in the maximum "Dumb as Dirt" detent. The 'rabs already have a couple of cities in the north. Beirut and Damascus. Ain't that enough? Seems to me that the money going to fund this idiocy should be spent in encouraging Israel's hostile fifth column to EMIGRATE to a place that is more in line with their personal tastes, political spirit and level of humanity. (Or lack there of)
40. Arabs are the real owners
bisha ,   Palestine   (07.18.08)
How long will you live in the illusion? You have stolen our country and you say that you are going to allow us to have one's own city? This is indeed an irony. Palestine has always belownged to arab.
41. #34, this is conspiracy theories
Jake   (07.19.08)
"During the 1st intifada in the west bank and gaza, it was the Israeli government that met with reprisentative of a lthen ittle known terrorist group called Hamas and supported them in their fight against mainstream Fatah. " This is not true. Israel has always been a direct target of radical Islam, and knows what it is about. Hamas was the Palestinian branch of the well-known Islamic Brotherhood Movement, founded in Egypt in the '20s. In the 80s, it was receiving funds from Saudi Arabia and Jordan. The only thing that Israel is known to have done is allow a charity organization, operated by Hamas, receiving money from Jordan, to operate soup kitchens and other charitable activities in the West Bank , as a means of undercutting the Tunis-based PLO. Israel did not arm Hamas. The official Israeli policy was to support the West Bank mayors that were loyal to King Hussein of Jordan, not promote Islamism in the West Bank and Gaza. As for the attempts by Islamic Movement to create a mosque near the Annunciation Basilica, my understanding is that it created 'facts on the ground' without notifying the Israeli government, and then blackmailed the government into recognizing the area as a Moslem shrine by threatening riots if the tent was removed. The government was shortsighted and initially agreed only a small plot to be dedicated as an Islamic shrine and the rest to be used as the millenium plaza for the Pope's visit. Of course, the Balad party was more than happy to accuse the government of playing off Christians against Moslems. However, it is not based in fact, because ultimately the Sharon Likud government, with Natan Sharansky as direct overseer, reversed the government's recognition of the shrine and demolished all Islamic structures in the area of the Basilica.
42. I hope it doesnt happen!
aliza ,   usa   (07.19.08)
I hope it doesnt happen!
43. Rami
jew   (07.19.08)
You are one of the only sane ones in any of the YNet posts. I wish all of the "silent Arab majority" would speak out like you do. Thank you
44. #40 LOL...keep living in a fantasy. Is not it what your
Frank ,   USA   (07.19.08)
culture is based on? You love to dream and keep repeating your lies over and over again that you think they are real. Palestine is like the Gobi desert or Siberia. It has never been sovereign anything but considering your fantasies you probably believe that you own Mars too. Keep dreaming baby. That why your 22 Arab dictatorships are in such disarray.
45. #35 the Arabs will always find some excuse.
Roger ,   USA   (07.19.08)
One must baby the Arabs or G-d forbid they get upset in Israel.
46. give them whatever they want..is not it what the Jews
Denny ,   USA   (07.19.08)

47. $36 The Arabs will find a way or cause to hate Israel/Jews
Gary ,   USA   (07.19.08)
48. Thousands of Rockets Fired on Gaza Jews. VICTIMS PUNISHED!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (07.19.08)
10,000 Jews had their homes destroyed and viciously ethnically cleansed from Gaza for the sole reason they are Jews and not Muslim. Evicted from Land that NEVER belonged to Arabs. The Jewish refugees were forced into poverty-their high tech greenhouses gifted to barbaric, implacable enemies. Many Jewish refugees had to live in tents for a long time-still struggle for survival. Muslim mobs celebrated by desecrating and destroying the sacred, holy places-synagogues where Jews honored and worshipped G-D. Another victory for cruel global jihad! The Jew-cleansed areas were transformed into rocket-firing sites into Israeli cities. They call this the peace process. US/EU/UN, Muslims and other racist Jew-haters demand that Jews are ruthlessly ethnically cleansed from the Jewish ancestral homeland where Jewish prophets walked-Judea and Samaria, including Jews` first city-Holy Hebron and Jerusalem the Holy City. Protect the Free World! Not one inch of Jewish Land to the genocidal enemy!
49. Where are the Cities for 10,000 Gaza JEWISH Refugees?
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (07.19.08)
Why are Jews Neglected and HATED by Israel's government?
50. Why does Israel's Gov't Not Allow Sderot Citizens to live
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (07.19.08)
like any other modern city in the world? Why does Israel's government ALLOW a daily barrage of rockets to be fired on Sderot's terrified citizens? In a recent visit to Arab-Israeli town Umm al-Fahm, Sheetrit said: "We are aiming for a modern city where every young couple would be able to buy a house and live there just like in any other modern city in the world.
51. Madness takes its toll!
Jack ,   USA   (07.19.08)
This is a little to wierd, This is your 5th column and you are building a city for them. Are these left, lib, defeatest dem, labor, kadima and Arab parties out of there collective minds. I am shocked, has it come to this among intelligent people? Outrageeous! We would exoect nothing less from the parties and groups mentioned above but what of you SHAS! A we speaking of shekles here? How much today?
52. #32 Rami, are u saying Arabs are loyal israeli citizens?
(07.19.08)
6 Israeli Arabs charged with operating al-Qaeda cell and the antics of the Arab MK don't support your statement. as to the pogrom town being Druze not Arab Islam must have be the fuel that lits up that anti-Jewish violence then.
53. To #40 Bisha what's that stuff you are smoking
Gabrielle ,   Los Angeles USA   (07.19.08)
you'd better lay off of it, your mind has left you. The land of Israel belongs to the Jews given to them by God. Did you not know that the Jews are the Chosen people?
54. Dream Of Peace and Prosperity - Jews and Muslims
David Rodrigues ,   Lisbon, Portugal   (07.19.08)
Palestine is just the Roman name for Israel. Those who claim to be palestinians should in fact condiser themselves as people of Israel. Period. As for expelling muslim families from their homes, that is wrong, but the territories though, should belong to the State of Israel. Now let me tell you, my dream as portuguese descending from anusim jews, is to see one day Israel, Lebannon, Syria and Turkey as part of the European Union. That will imply serious changes in those countries, namely the adoption of secular and democratic governments. Turkey just like Israel is therefore a key factor in the development and democratization of the Middle East. If Turkey becomes part of the UE, i think Syria and Lebannon will also be interested in getting access to the economical and social benefits that result from it's membership. More than jews, christians or muslims the fact is we're all human beings and that's all that should matter the most. Osu no seishin!
55. # 40
Thomas   (07.19.08)
From the late King Abdullah of Jordan: "The Arabs are as prodigal in selling their land as they are in useless wailing and weeping." Tell me how if the land was bought, it was also stolen? I find that ironic.
56. The Arabs living in Israel.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.19.08)
Since its establishment Israel has hidden its head in the sand, refusing to face the fact that a mighty enemy has been growing within it, threatening its very existence. The Arabs of Israel see themselves as part of the Arab world and more particularly as “Arabs in occupied Palestine.” They enjoy every benefit that a democratic state has to offer, but they, together with Israel’s enemies, share the hope that this Jewish state, in which they have achieved conditions no other Arabs in the Middle East enjoy, will cease to exist. When Saddam Husayn attacked Israel with missiles in 1991, many Arabs in Israel supported the Iraqi dictator and openly demonstrated their sympathy for him. “We, the Arabs in this country,” – said Tibi – “wish to see a strong Arab force… able to confront the axis of the USA and Israel.” And these are among the mildest pronouncements of these Arab members of the Israeli parliament who enjoy all the rights and privileges that the Jewish Democracy can offer as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi3hx
57. To Bisha (40) and all the Arabs living on the Land of Israel
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (07.19.08)
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, : We are the legitimate owner of this land. Once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Anthem, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Israeli freedom :'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'. If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. The Arab occupation has lasted long enough. We didn't force you to come here. The Land of Israel is the land of the Jews as explained at: http://xrl.us/bi5c6
58. Building a new gueto
Ivan ,   Haifa   (07.19.08)
You should create mixed jews arab cities in order to promote the integration between us. There is not reason why cities should be for specific people according their origins.
59. To RAMI
Adam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.19.08)
Actually I think you'll find that Jews are not welcome in Arab towns. We both discriminate against the individual due to collective political concerns. Muslims are the same. How would they react to a (G-d forbid) 'Settlement' of Jews in Umm el Fahm? Then there's the language problem too.
60. this is the retribution for merkaz ha rav and the bulldozer!
stephane ,   france   (07.19.08)
" israeli arabs " make terror attacks in jerusalem; and, instead of expelling them to arab countries; this government of cowards create new cities for them ! this government make me feel ashame of being a jew ! shame on the " new israelis " ! 40 years ago, israelis would have never accepted that ! you changed too much... israel looks like a gay pride everyday.
