Anyone who watches SkyNews and the debates in the House of Commons will know that the Lib Dems are the champions of the Palestinians. Every time a terror act is committed and Israelis are killed, the Lib Dem versions is "It's Israels fault". Every time a Palestinian is killed while attempting to kill Israelis the Lib Dems accuse Israel of an "atrocity" and their accusations find support from all sides of the House! We all know that the good citizens of the UK are not friends of Israel and the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel record of the UK is historical fact! Never mind, Israel was established, has survived and prospers in spite of Great Britain's opposition. The bottom line is, whether it is Tony Blair or Gordon Brown, the British cannot be trusted.

Would it be to much to ask an "organization" to stop firing missiles at civilian populations first and then, after a period of "calm", to begin negotiations? What is there to talk about when the charter of such an "organization" states the destruction of a people and of a state?

Israel ruined everything for the West by negotiating with Hamas. Since Hamas won the elctions the West has been trying to bolster Fatah and ignore Hamas in Israel's interest. This is why Fatah shot rockets into Israel during the ceasefire. You weakened them by negotiating with Hamas and they wanted to ruin the ceasefire to get things back to how the world wanted it to be. Don't blame the West for taking your lead.

Its not really up to Blair who Israel decides that its willing to talk to and he doesnt have authrotiy to negotiate deals with them without Israels formal consent and that means israel talking to Hamas. Dealing with Fatah has brought nothing but missery now talking with Hamas wont make things any better. Lets not pretend all the troubles with Hamas began when they overthrew Fatah in Gaza they made that decision not Israel and thats an internal matter between Fatah & Hamas not israel or anybody else There is no ceacefire between Israel & Hamas to take advantage of .. Hamas called for a 6 month Hudna they have no intention of making it permanent, this hudna also applies to Gaza only not the rest of the territories. Also what is there to talk about with Hamas they are not even pretending they want peace ir 2 states their official position is the replacement of Israel by a palestian state. As a goodwill gesture we will release thousands of killers, make all kinds of dangeorus territorial cocnesions to Hamas. We would end up giving away for a long term hudna about three times more than we would settle for if we were dealing with only Fatah and then letting the palestians fight out between themselves if Hamas complain that Abbas is accepting to little. If the Liberals are so concerned over the shortages in Gaza then why doesnt their party finance to bring all these supplies into Gaza from outside Israel. Israel has no obligations to Gaza it left there three years ago and Israel is not the only country witrh a border with Gaza so does Egypt so let them do all the good deeds they at least Hamas recognises has right to exist and are not carrying out terror attacks against. Talking with Hamas is going to take a problem and make it a bigger problem, when the British decide that they will let Israel decide the best way for them to handle the war in Iraq then they should be allowed to handle Israels war against Hamas. Untill then they can worry about their own country and leave Israel to deal with its problems in its own way.

The real "coup" in Palestine was Abbas taking over and refusing to let democratically-elected Hamas rule. Abu Quisling Abbas conspired with the US and Israel in his coup. Whatever anyone thinks of Hamas, you can't get a lasting peace agreement when devious tricks like Abu Quisling's are played to negate the choice of the voters.
