I felt from the outcome of the summer 2006 Second Lebanon War that Olmert's position was weakening day by day. Besides the poor performance of the IDF in its war against Hizbullah Olmert got caught by the tentacles of a personal financial scandal , and the last straw that broke the camel's back was his approval of the POW exchange deal with Hizbullah , in summer 2008, which ultimately made Israelis feel the bitter truth hurts much once it became known that soldiers Regev and Goldwasser were returned to Israel in coffins after 2 years that tormented the Israeli public. Poor leadership, shortsightedness,carelessness, being insensitive to public grievances,selfishness, egoistic attitude,and a government of figureheads that included the incompetent "Amir Peretz" who knew nothing about warfare or armaments although he served as defense minister , all posed as minuses that kept piling up until neither Olmert nor the Israeli public could take it anymore. For sure Olmert's resignation would be celebrated by Hizbullah as a victory for them especially after resignations of Dan Halutz (who worried most about his stockmarket shares rather than worrying about the 2 kidnapped Israeli soldiers) and Amir Peretz...

So Kadima, (the Sharon party created solely to justify the dispossession of Jews from Gush Katif) the party of losing wars and general incompetence, has finally found a stick and scraped that nasty Olmert off it's collective party shoe. The problem is that without a raison d'etre Kadima IS nowhere and is GOING nowhere, and that very bad odor signaling what was scraped off still remains; hovering around the party's reputation in a foul miasma of mis/mal and non feaseance. What will be the next justification for an Olmert free Kadima to keep it'self alive? How can it justify it' continuance as a viable entity? What is it doing on behalf of israel, Israeli's and the Jewish people for which Israel exists. Giving away Jerusalem? Giving away the Golan? Giving away Judea/Samaria? Giving away the Galil? Shaaba Farms? Terrorist Prisoners? Making Israel a Jew free enterprise zone for future "envelope collectors", who make believe they are Swiss or Lichtensteiners and that those pesky murderers across the fence are just cranky folks who need to be "stroked" with some goodies and soft words. Some gear shifts are clearly mis-marked, with the Foward being an incorrect indicator, of the direction the vehicle will be headed when it is engaged.

Lets forget Olmert for a while, no country can be run in a proper and dignified way if at its helm, the helsman has to avoid bullets from its own crew, no sense of union, no stucture of command, no sense og dignity and loyalty. What a revolting spectacle to see the 3 top security officials wrangling inside the cabinet with no sense of purpose or direction, on the ouside, inventive and attacks among The PM, foreingn minister and defense minister. All over the world, the proime minister is in command, and in his "goverment", other ministers owe him respect, if not, they do the right thing and quit. either the system is changed, or Israel is going down the drain with no effective way of governance. Israeli goverments sound like a dog's pit when meat is thrown inside. Every dog is trying to grab a piece. What saddens me is the notion that the public enjoys it.

you damn fools,olmert was a superb prime minister : He maintained perfect relations with the americans while refusing to cave in to their demand ,he bombed syrian nuclear faclity without taking credit or self-promotion and courageously and correctly responded to Hizbullah provocation.He has dismantled no jewish settlemants and has soothed the palestinians and syrians while giving them nothing,he is a real master politician .charges against him are trivial and unproved and do not harm the state.

Poor Ehud olmert ,inherited the mess and corruption of Ariel Sharon.never received an even break from the people of israel.He is the first israeli prime minister in past 20 years who gave nothing away to our enemies and courageously bombed syrian reactor and responded correctly to hizbullah.

I would like to sing "Halleluyah" but I cannot. All I can do is be thankful for little mercies. I will sing , "Halleluyah" when the whole Kadima Party is rejected by Israeli voters. After all, it' was the Kadima party that kept Oldmerde in power for so long.

Israel could of easily wiped out Hezbollah if Olmert had any balls! Not only did Olmert call for a retreat after having Hezbollah surrounded.....ready to be wiped out..........he refused to allow our great army to use full force and held them back. We only used 5% of our firepower......you work it out what would happen if we use 10% next time!..........hezbollah are shit scared of Bibi.....at least he has balls.
