2. "We prefer an alternate coalition ..."
Yes, of course, all those "progressives" in Labour think democracy is just not their idea of "progressive" - I mean, really, elections, the people expressing their choice? Especially if we'd lose our jobs, no matter how much of a mess we've made, we still need our jobs.
By all means, let's avoid elections, no need to carry this democracy thing too far. We can be a democracy without elections, democracy just sounds good in speeches, it's not something we'd want to put into practice.

3. elections
Sure the labour does not want electionsfor numerous reasons No 1 they want thier seats and all the perks, No2 they do not want to allow the people to decide what is good for the country and its people No 3 they want to continue with the corruption-it fills the bank accounts. No 4 the labour party is disentegrating so by keeping the coalition they are still a so called party No 5 The labour party does not represent the people but the elected politicians (elected by the party) and know that they are all going to loose the seats, Change the election system and the labour party will be able to write history with the help of the leftist press and media.

4. Labor would rather ANY KADIMA CROOKthan losing their positio
If there's new elections, it’s very likely that Likud will win and who knows if those selfish Labor ministers, headed by the egoist and hypocrite Ehud Barak will keep their positions, especially, the Defense Minister? At least Barak is self-defensing by forming a new coaliton instead of new elections.

5. Their self indulgence is disgusting!
No different to KAdima. They dont care about the Israeli people, only their own positions.
The people of Israel demand general elections NOW!!!!!!!!!
|
|
6. Democratic people, behave as example !
Let your people express, and then speak about democracy.
It's disgusting to witness this situation and feel fooled by those MKs and ministers...
It's time for us to sweep all those persons from Knesset and governent. This is the best we can do in order to avoid some "Ahmadinedjad" sweep us from the map

7. Herzog prefer coalition
They would wouldn't they because they are the same as Kadima. Maybe not (financially )corrupt but completely and totally and utterly useless.

8. A smart decision since Labor would almost seek to exist
after elections ...
You have people there talking about "social revolution" and other nonsense that even the Russians and Chinese gave up on.
You have people there wanting to give the country away because they still believe in land for peace and appeasement.
And worst of all, Labor did not quit the coalition which even many avid Labor supporters will never forgive them for!

9. "his head held high"? He left like an unwanted dog!
So many politicians lack moral fiber and refuse to call a spade a spade.
Why didn't Binyamin Ben-Eliezer tell the truth and say that Olmert was forced to leave in ignominy?
Is he afraid that Olmert will return from the political grave and punish him for his honesty.?

Shows how self centered these politicians are fearing their jobs they would ignore the peoples choice.
Israel is a real Democracy Huh ???

11. Israelis avoid elections like the plague

|
12. Delegation of Labour leaders plan fact-finding mission.
They are going to Zimbabwe to get pointers from Robert Mugabe on electoral procedures & economic policy.
Never let anyone tell you Labour is not always on the look-out for new ideas.
Bananas anyone?

14. the kadima / labour / $ha$ regime doesnt like democracy
Of course he prefers a coalition to elections this crooked regime doesnt believe in democracy or the will of the people they are interested in staying in power as long as they can.
If they thought they could win the election they would be saying they prefer elections to a new coalition.
If the next PM wants to earn some kind of legitimacy then they only option is an election without that they have no mandate to rule.
They have simply inherited Olmerts crown and will follow his policies which nobody even expected before the election because Olmerts Kadima is not the same as Sharons Kadima that the public supported.
