1. Makes perfect sense
Adam ,   Raanana, Israel   (08.01.08)
Giving the uneducated masses the option to vote in the right candidate, they will definitely vote in the WRONG one. Lets hope that Bibi is the next PM and that we are not stuck with another left-wing apologist until the next government collapse.
2. same leftist polls
fad egypt   (08.01.08)
i hope these polls are wrong but the difference between BIBI and livni isnt large i hope it is error and i hope israelis wake up and not to vote the queen of suurender who si corrupt and oppertunist and olmert in skirt and to vote BIBI israel only hope shalom
3. Makes perfect sense
Marty ,   USA   (08.01.08)
that Ynet would commission a survey that produces the results it wants to see. I worked for 25 years at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, most of those years running surveys. Believe me there is nothing truer than the line "statistics lie, liars use statistics". The truth is that Netanyahu would win with a landslide. If Ynet really believed these results they would be pushing for elections. Let it come on.
4. Polls are only good for Entertaiment.
Asher ,   Ny,USA   (08.01.08)
5. Horrifying
E. Rauch ,   Bnei Brak   (08.01.08)
If these results are correct (many foreign observers have severe doubts about Israeli pollsters' honesty), Israel is in bad shape. Those who consider Tzippi Livni a worthy candidate for PM are either uninformed or deeply demoralized. Israel needs a leader who is less conforrmist, more courageous, more attached to Jewish tradition, and less hypnotized by the Europeans than Tzippi Livni.
6. Load of bull
Jay3 ,   Israel   (08.01.08)
Not many want to see the queen of appeasement, Livni, at the helm. I would love to know who they polled! Most people i know here would rather Bibi than Livni by a long shot!
7. Oh well
David ,   USA / ISRAEL   (08.01.08)
If Israelis vote for Kadima again. I hope all those bloggers will stay away and quit complaining..... Israelis should vote for whoever they want . So good luck to you and God help you. It is your choice, your life your country. Live with it . Just like the Palestinians who voted for Hamas You deserve every bit of what's coming to you

Yisraeli   (08.01.08)
Unfortunately I agree with everything you wrote. I tho find it hard to believe this poll. I just cant imagine any sane Israeli voting for a party like Kadima thats stands for nothing but self empowerment. But on the other hand I feel our citizens have become so dumbed down and downright stupid that many still will. And yes as you said they will deserve everything that they themselves have brought upon themselves. Me myself and I have already left a while back and wont return till I see some sanity return. Only if Moshe Feiglin wins the primaries and stands for PM and wins will I ever consider returning to this asylum. I for one will not join hands in mass suicide and sing kumbaya.
9. how was the poll conducted?
Uri   (08.01.08)
As we know, the average Israeli is much too busy and far too rude & uncaring to stop and answer poll questions. I question this poll, it cannot be true, but if it is, then Israel doesn't deserve any better.
10. Good. Quick, hurry Up, dont waste time
Yitzak Ben Shlomo   (08.01.08)
11. Livini election would make all of Israel unsafe.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.01.08)
12. I would take Livne before,those two
Eric ,   Israel.....   (08.01.08)
opportunist.Netanyahu and Mofaz .They play dirty politics.Bibi was one of the worst prime ministers we ever had.Mofaz I dont trust.Barak is a nothing .My vote would go to Livne.I think we need a women to run Israel, she would take care of Israel like a mother.
13. The fact that people would vote for kadima
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.01.08)
means part of the voting public is either stupid or suicidal!
14. What Ynet didn't say about their own poll...
Roscio ,   Rome, Italy   (08.01.08)
They phoned up 500 of Livni's relatives. The rest of Israel wants NOTHING to do with anyone connected with the worst administration in Israel's history. Livni helped Olmert stay in power all this time; she also is much more helpful to Islamofascists than to Jews. This poll is simply not to be believed.... however, if it motivates more thinking Israelis to get out the vote to sweep this traitorous regime completely out of office, kol ha-kavod!
15. COMES DOWN TO WHO IS THE BIGGER LIAR, ,,,I BELIEVE LIVNI IS

me me ,   me , look at me   (08.01.08)
Zippi knows very little else but she looks good doesn't she
17. Oh puhleez!! This poll only consists of 500 people. Probably
ALL Kadima family ,   members!! Rueben   (08.01.08)
18. If Kadima Wins, Israel Has No Future
Richard ,   USA   (08.01.08)
If the Israeli people elect the Kadima Clowns again, I am through with them and they deserve exactly what they will get - despair, defeat, and corruption. I cannot believe such a thing would happen. Will our people walk into the gas chambers again like sheep herded by leftist Kadima defeatists, rather than follow a real leader like Bibi and fight for their lives and liberty? Let's hope the people have more guts and intelligence than this poll suggests
19. Terrible polling
Sam Harari ,   Brooklyn/Israel   (08.01.08)
Polling 500 people in no way indicates anything. It's too small of a group. "...and the ultra-Orthodox-Mizrachi party wins 10-11 seats (it currently has 12)." I'm not sure what Mizrachi is, is that Shas??
20. Hummm...Sounds like a TA only poll.
MrLincoln ,   USA   (08.01.08)
Only in loony TA would they want to vote in another batch of Losers...EXACTLY like Olmert who was the worst PM in Israeli history. Frankly, I dont believe it. It sounds like a poll to sway public opinion to me...
21. People will decide
YOEL ,   IL   (08.01.08)
It's nevers on Medias' hands, and WE will decide what is best for us. Concerning myself, I'm disgusted by Kadima, and I will vote for someone else whatever happens This means even for a religious party if Bibi is not the Kadima's challenger. I haven't been consulted for that poll, and this is my opinion. Kadima is an artificial party, built because of Sharon's election, they just diluted left and right's opinions. It contributed to lead to power persons who renounced to their ideas, people who are just motivated by Power.
22. Here in Brussels
Marie-France ,   Brussels, Belgium   (08.01.08)
Here in Brussels, Tzipi Livni makes a very good impression on the Eurocrats. So do Shimon Peres and all the guys from "Peace Now". Israelis do not realize how anti-Zionist the Europeans are, and how dangerous those Israeli politicians who are popular in Europe.
23. a strange result
zionist forever   (08.01.08)
I would like to know a little more about this poll only yesterday I was reading about a recent poll which put Nataynahu way out in front of Livni and further ahead of Shaul Mofaz. Now suddenly Livni after over a year now would be the favorite for PM with kadima winning 5 seats more than Likud. This sounds very strange. If ithis poll is reliable and reflects true voting intentions it shows how blind people can be sometimes the woman might not have taken any brown envelopes but she has shown n display of political skill she has been backing Olmert all the way. He has been the scapegoat who but he had Livni sitting right next to him and voting alongside him in the cabinet room. What Livni has going for her is the fact that she has allways chosen to keep her head down and remain in the shadow so allthough she has no great achivements she has no past to criticise. Natanyahu has been around for a long time he has been PM and he has made mistakes while PM like all do she has no record of any sort other than being Olmerts right hand woman who is just as left wing or even more left than him. By the time the election was forced on Livni in 2010 Jerusalem, the Golan, Judea & Samaria they would all be gone and and the palestians would be coming back for their next round of demands, Assad would still be in Irans pocket he would have taken the Golan and then sad afterwards if you thought I was going to be breaking off ties with Iran for the Golan then your a bigger fool than Olmert. Natanyahu isnt the ideal PM but he is the best of a bad bunch and when you dont have alot of choice then you just take the best of the worst and Livni is bad news for Israel. The longer term solution must be electoral refrom - fewer parties, an end to undemocratic coaltion government which is a breedng ground for coruption and directly elected MKS who are elected through local constiuencues by the general public who they are directly acountable to. This system the party leader decides who will sit in the Knesset, the party wins a certain number of seats the party leader decides who is going to fill them so the first loyatly of the MK is to the boss not the public. Israel is the only country in the western world that has this rediculous system which only borders on the idea of being democratic. we also need a constiution so we everybody knows their rights and its not for the PM to interprit the law in their own way. Israel is 60 years old thats mature enough to have a healthy modern democratic system not this rediculous system than creates bad government and breeds coruption.
24. livni
sas ,   israel   (08.01.08)
a rea DISASTER if livni wins. she's ruined her present ministry and is good for nothing. she is totally over-rated.
25.  Y net = LEFT net =

26. Poll and Livni
I.Kemp ,   Nahariya Israel   (08.01.08)
..then the country deserves what it gets. More of the same or worse
27. it's not that surprising
Danny   (08.01.08)
people aren't voting for Kadima they'd be voting for Livni, just like they thought they would be voting for Sharon. I have to say it is a real dilemma who to vote for in the next election, there is really only going to be a least bad choice and even that is pretty hard....
28. This poll must have been made using N Tel Aviv phone numbers
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (08.01.08)
The poll is so far from reality that it cannot be take seriously. Meretz for example is unlikely to even pass the threshold and will most likely not even be in the next Knesset. Mofaz can most likely form a coalition whereas Livni would most likely be unable to. Obviously Labor don't want elections so the smart money is on Mofaz winning the primaries. Mike
