Get this government out NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Those are great propaganda photos for Hamas.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.03.08)
In their place, I would make posters of these photos & hang them all over Gaza & the West Bank. Look at the humiliated losers from Fatah ....... And, of course, they would be right. Great propaganda.
5. humiliating photo
Shalom   (08.03.08)
Why did Israel feel it necessary to strip them "en-masse" in this degrading way? This is not exactly going to cause Fatah to feel any more affection for their "cousins"

15. Where are B'tselem? Adallah? Amnesty? Tibi? Aloni?
Tahl ,   Israel   (08.03.08)
Machsom-watch? Gush Shalom? Uri Avneri? Issam Mahul? The BBC? The Guardian? Where is their scolding criticism toward the inhumane treatment of Palestinians, by their own Palestinian brothers? Where are their warm compliments for Israel, for rescuing these Fatah men? Or do all Palestinian atrocities, along with all of the humane gestures by Israel - are ignored by them?

Tahl ,   Israel   (08.03.08)
Who cares? Since when do you care so much for Fatah honor? Bear in mind, Fatah is responsible for many acts of terror against Israel. So for all I care, Israel should be the last to help them resolve their differences with Hamas... And while I think rescuing them from Hamas was a good and humane move by Israel - Israel does not owe them anything! If they didn't want to be in this humiliating position, they should've stayed in Gaza. Besides, after Nassarallah made such a mockery of Israel recently, we could sure use this opportunity to get some retribution. In Arab eyes, such images could restore some of our authority.
18. Abbas and Fayyad are Bankrupt
Hassa ,   Planet Earth   (08.03.08)
First they encourage these idiots to fight Hamas; then the discard them after they are routed. Worse, they are sending them back to Hamas! What a leader Fatah has. I'm sure his troops are full of confidence now!
19. #12 Debra, USA Lighten up ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.03.08)
It's no different than going to the beach in a swimsuit. The humiliation is a psychological problem, a mental thing for Arabs who have what I call "modesty issues" - and many people from the Middle-East including Jews have the same false modesty. So do many religious people. This has nothing to do with the Geneva convention, they are not "prisoners" in the real sense of the word & our captives should only be so lucky as to be treated the way we treat Arabs.
20. stripped
Yisraeli   (08.03.08)
I assure you they being stripped has nothing to do with treatment but the only way to be assured theyre not wearing explosives set to detonate around Israeli soldiers. It just makes a good media photo op with connotations. Obviously many were allowed thru to Ramallah, those sent back must be "known" to Israel and instead of trying them theyre sent back. Its a weak toy soldiers decision by the name of Ehud Barak. This one man has caused so much damage to Israel and its lack of deterrence its not funny.
21. debra 1 ---these are not pows
dov   (08.03.08)
debra - these are not prisoners, they were not captured during hostilities....a better legal description woul dbe illegal aliens with possible criminal histories
22. Hamas should be crushed now.
Robert Bernier   (08.03.08)
The terrorists in Gaza already know how to operate sophisticated weapons. They have not yet shut the door on the Egyptians' efforts at brokering a temporary ceasefire, but they are preparing for the next round. According to Shabak estimates, “if Hamas does not obtain all its goals in a temporary ceasefire agreement, then there will be an even greater escalation. Hamas is obtaining weapons directly from Iran, and we don't identify any obstacle blocking the supply of ammunition to Gaza....” More at : http://xrl.us/bkwp7
23. notice the yellow streaks on their backs?
Pete ,   Bat Yam   (08.03.08)
It was a ploy by Abbas to infiltrate more terrorists into Yehuda and Shomron. Which idiot decided that Yehuda and Shomron should be called the west BANK The only similarity it has to a BANK is that the jackasses of the EU and Condel"appeaser" Rice pour billions into it! It should be called the west Jhorah, because pouring money into it is like pour it into a sewer

Humiliating? 1. These people would rather be in Israel than in Gaza. They gave themselves in. 2. These people have a history of terror and they are not kept prisoners, they are given back. Ever heard of something like that? Israel is taking a big enough chance with them and risking the soldier's lives. We cannot afford that they take their pants off or shirt off and stangle the soldiers. 3. If this is ALL they did to Gilat Shalit, Ron Arad, etc. I can live with that. Only "what you don't know can't hurt you, can it?". So, let's put the head in the sand and pretend that this or worse did not happen to our soldiers. At least, we are documenting things and there is nothing humiliating by making them wear underwear and having their eyes and hands covered. Nobody needs to have them assault israelis.
25. To #17 Tsahl
Sami ,   Canada   (08.03.08)
Nasrallah humiliated Israel like a true man with open stand off ,and you are taking the revenge and humiliating helpless, disarmed and abandoned by the corrupted Abbas Authority , group of poor Palestinian posting them naked in the web ,what a heroism!!!
26. #17 Tahl
Shalom   (08.03.08)
Believe me I have no love for Fatah. However in this case I don't think there is a need to parade them around in their underpants. Wouldn't it have been wonderful if even one of them would have gone back and thought to himself that at least Israel is better than Hamas?
27. The Full Monty
Talula ,   Israel   (08.03.08)
Unfortunately, clothes and hiding bombs, guns and knives under them are synonymous over there. They should strip them - for our soldier’s safety. I don't understand why we have to interfere with what's going on over there in the first place. This entire article is lacking clarity.
28. How many more reasons do we need?
Arie ,   BaGolan   (08.03.08)
These terrorists vow to exterminate us, and olmert and his kadima/labour/meretz band of traitors orders Tzahal to protect them. Not only should our thugs be removed from office, they should be sent to gaza to reinforce their fatah brethren!
29. #25 Sami
Tahl ,   Israel   (08.03.08)
"Nasrallah humiliated Israel like a true man"? Excuse me??? Throught this hostage standoff, Nasarallah has proven himself to be anything but a human being - a trader of body parts, a defender of a baby-killer, a cynical tormentor of the hostages families - not a "true man" but rather, a true monster. The whole civilized world was witness to his monsterhood. Hardly surprising, for someone who used his fellow Lebanese citizens as human shields in the last war. Is this your big hero?
30. the key point; from the Hilles clan
(08.04.08)
those wanted by Hamas will remain with PA in W.B. The rest will be send back to Gaza. Israel can keep a couple of useless spies.
