Hezbollah won in 2000 and again in 2006. Listen dont take my word for it. Go back to the archives of Israeli newspapers during and after the war of 2006. Your defeat is all over your own newspapers, not ours, ok.

Aren't ashamed? An army that is supposed to be among the best trained and equipped in the world pushed into the battlefield hundreds of tanks, fighter jets and warships with tens of thousands of troops and you could not handle a few thousand fighters lightly armed with world war 2 equipment?
63. Wrong assessment Mahmood......#57
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.15.08)
Integrating terror factions by using Israel as the common enemy is not original to Hizbullah. Nor is it a sign of strength. It's a temporary fix. The differences surface with bursts of violent in-fighting. No matter how you slice it, Hizbullah cost Lebanon its future and you haven't refuted Doc's statement. The 5.6 billion+ in damages to Lebanon and long-term cost of caring for those disabled in this senseless war, should have been used to improve Lebanon's failing economy and unite all Lebanese with hope for a better future. Hizbullah works with Iran and Syria to weaken and destroy Lebanon from within. Wouldn't you agree?
64. Nasrallah plotting to murder Jews
Ana ,   Spain   (08.15.08)
He said he would murder Jews wherever they happened to be. No wonder Israel wants to get rid of the murderers.
65. Hizbollah propaganda
Ana ,   Spain   (08.15.08)
Had Hizbollah won the war, they would not feel this necessity of repeating it all the time. What is evident does not need to be repeated.
66. #58 You are not my friend, not even close
Aharon   (08.15.08)
Apparently, you missed the blatantly mocking tone of my talkback. Therefore, I will be very frank. You are not my friend. You, those who share your views, and those who support you are my hated enemies, because you would seek the destruction of my country and the death of its citizens. Facts on the ground are simple: Israel handled the Second Lebanon War poorly. The hands of the army were tied by political considerations, the political leaders were inexperienced in waging a military campaign, and the whole operation was poorly executed. From that, Hezbollah has somehow managed to convince you (and absurdly, many Israelis too) that it won a "divine victory." Since its great "victory", Hezbollah's and Nasrallah's image in the Arab world have been inflated to ridiculous proportions. Today, Nasrallah is the most popular leader in the Arab world - a modern Nasser, if you will. But like Nasser, behind the bold rhetoric is nothing but a few Soviet era rockets and a rabble of fanatical guerillas. When the great war comes, if Israel is genuinely threatened, we will fight with such a might and vengeance that the Arabs will quickly remember why they used to fear us. Do not make the mistake of accepting to nonsense that Nasrallah is feeding you and the rest of the Arab world - he is a politician, that is his job. If you believe him and follow him blindly, you do so at your own peril. 50 years ago the Arab world was also swept away by Pan-Arabism in Syria, in Iraq, in Egypt, in Libya, etc. and in the end, after all the big talk, when it came to ensuring our survival, we did what was necessary. Do not think it will be different this time. If you and your people continue heading towards a collision course with us, I assure you, it will be you who regret it.
67. So did Hizbollah
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (08.15.08)
Now you have something in common - so get out of your basement and go help them, if it is that important to you.
68. Israel behind Georgia war?
Malik ,   Birmingham,UK   (08.16.08)
Israel was in Georgia for 2 reasons: Iran and oil money. Israel trained special forces but now these soldiers have all fled the Russian army. Israel has failed in Georgia. Its time to re-think its policies. If this rate of failure continues then Israel will be history. I think Israel should make friends with Iran. Its the only way to survive. No other way.
69. Did Hezbollah win?
Hayder Ali ,   UK   (08.22.08)
Hezbollah fired more rockets in the last day of the war than in any of the other days. Israel did not achieve any of its objectives Hezbollah (with the recent prisoner exhange) achieved all of their objectives Hence Hezbollah is the victor.
