Neal Rothner ,   Hashmonaim, Israel   (08.19.08)
Why are we doing this? Both sides are not satisfied. The PA says that it doesn't do anything for them or their image. We should in the name of the marality of justice and public sfety keep them under lock and key. Neal The Hasmonean
4. ...IMPORTANT LEGAL IMPLICATION ...
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (08.19.08)
UNLESS THERE IS A LEGAL OBJECTION WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS,THESE PRISONERS WILL BE RELEASED DESPITE THE OVERAL OUTCRY OF A DEMORALISED NATION. WHEN A PRISONER IS SENTENCED,HE FULLY RECOGNISES THE LENGTH THAT HE MUST SERVE....A LIFE SENTENCE MEANS A LIFE SENTENCE,OTHERWISE IT HAS BEEN MIS-ASSESSED,AND SHOULD NOT BE SO TERMED.IF A PRISONER HAS BEEN GIVEN A MIS-ASSESSMENT,HE COULD SEEK MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR THIS INACCURACY ,AS HE DID NOT DIE IN PRISON.. AND HAVING SERVED TIME UNNECESSARY UNDER THE WRONG CATEGORY.PERHAPS MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION COULD RNHANCE ON THIS IDEA,AND MAKE A CASE FOR SUCH PRISONERS IN "ABSTENTIA WITH THE UTMOST OF HASTE!

6. What Olmert/Peres is doing is ilegal
JAyyy ,   Israel   (08.19.08)
People dont realize that these prisoners can not be released without a Peres signature. The news media keeps quiet about this. He is as much to blame as Olmert for these traitorous actions! I hope one day they both go to jail for this!
7. Terrorists with blood on their hands should be sentence...
Robert Bernier   (08.19.08)
Terrorists with blood on their hands should be sentence to death. Israel's repeated willingness to release terrorists for live and dead hostages makes clear the need to implement the death penalty against terrorist murderers. The criminal code permits the death penalty to be used in cases of treason, murder, crimes against humanity, genocide and crimes against the Jewish people. The problem is not the laws on the books; the problem is the state prosecution's refusal to use them. Regardless of the nature of their crimes, the State Attorney's Office refuses to request that judges sentence terrorists to death. More at : http://xrl.us/kj6sj
8. According to Prison services ..
Ilan ,   Ariel   (08.19.08)
All but about 15 are in prison for more than 3 years on convictions of attempted murder in various forms, the most lenient being throwing rocks or molotov cocktails at cars. Most are in for shooting at someone, or "attempted murder" . If trying to kill someone, but failing to succeed is a "human right" then it is one I haven't heard of before.
