1. Propaganda coup for Israel!
Jake   (08.23.08)
Israel let the ISM into Gaza and did not respond to the ISM activists' provocation, and the ISM will soon be having a press conference with Hamas leaders, and become associated with them for all the world to see. ONE-NIL FOR ISRAEL, SUCKERS!!!
2. Are the boat's Global JIHAD Supporters planning
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.23.08)
to help Global Jihad Against other countries-India-Kashmere, Thailand, the Phillippines, the Sudan-hundreds of thousands of indigenous Black Sudanese Christians have been taken for slaves by Sudan's Muslims. Or do the boat's global jihad supporters support jihad solely against Israel's Jews? ’“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.” —Former Algerian President Houari Boumedienne’s prophetic warning to Europe in a speech at the U.N. In 1974. Schools/streets/sports teams are named after suicide bombers. PA Muslims are taught murdering Jews is the highest goal in life and attains paradise: 70% of PA Muslims support suicide bombings and voted for Hamas.
3. seriously...did we expect anything else from barak?
JL ,   israel   (08.23.08)
4. "Free Gaza"
Alfred Inselberg ,   Raanana, Israel   (08.23.08)
Halper, the "Israeli activist", was featured ino Haaretz (Aug. 7) as a professor. I pointed out that to Haaretz that he LIED and they stopped calling him 'professor. He runs an NGO funded by petro-dollars. Halper claims to have attended rabbinical school (Wikipedia) yet that did not stop him from sailing on Shabbat. Israel should let them leavie Gaza only pictures are published of them visiting Gilat Shalit. Expose the liers!
5. Israel welcomes the evil fanatics coming by boat...
marlene ,   Philadelphia, USA   (08.23.08)
You went back on your word, Israel. Why are you so indecisive? It just emboldens your enemies. Just say no. Why can't you just say no when your enemies come against you from all sides? G-d bless Israel. G-d bless all Jews. Maranatha!
6. I hope the gazans welcome them with some of their BEST fire
works and all. ,   Maurie, Israel   (08.23.08)
7. 3 cheers for solidarity! End the siege of Gaza!
Naftali Lavie   (08.23.08)
It is thrilling to see that this mission has succeeded. The people of Gaza are not alone, despite the Israeli blockade, and despite the Israeli threats. All of enlightened humanity recognizes that the people of Gaza are the victims of Israeli brutality. International solidarity will set them free. Thanks to the pioneers of LIBERTY and FREE GAZA for setting an example.
8. Spineless, Supine & Insane Leaders Lacking ANY Moral Fiber
Adina Kutnicki ,   Israel,new olah   (08.23.08)
Israel's leaders are so spineless that they are TOTALLY incapable of initiating any pro Zion policies. First they threaten, blabber & otherwise wag their fingers, AND then they capitulate to blackmail. It could very well be that they were scared shitless into asserting their authority (over the aiders & abettors to terror on the boats) because Condi is due to arrive. Condi's arrival is always punctuated by scowls and demands. Tragically the groveling leaders ALWAYS cave in, either to her or to the terrorists.
9. 'Peace' activists had signs only in Arabic, not Hebrew
(08.23.08)
Doesn't dialogue involve two sides?
10. Strip the old nun naked on the return trip and circulate...
Guido ,   Milano Italy   (08.23.08)
her pictures on the web. As she doesn't seem to care about her soul, she will have at least her moments of secular glory. Amen.
11. #1 Jake, good observation but logic doesn't work
Debbie   (08.23.08)
The problem is that the enemy is light years ahead of the Israelis in media manipulation. They'll find sick babies, starving(!!!) mothers, tales of torture.... The left, including the infamous Peace Now, has been associated with actual terrorists for decades now, but the public remains unfazed. Actually, in the eyes of the world, the Jew is the villain no matter what, and the terrorist with hands dripping blood is still a "freedom fighter". If Israelis had any media sense, they could use this delegation for their own public relations purposes. But I don't expect to see any of that. After all, the Israeli government itself seems to represent the Arabs instead of the Jews.
12. ISM are Fatah supporters
Gal from Israel   (08.23.08)
The ISM are welcome to stay with their spiritual brothers, the Hamas, in Gaza - wear hijabs and get their knee-caps blown off when they speak up for their friends (Fatah supporters) in Ramallah. Come to think of it, maybe the Fatah sent them to Gaza to gather info on what is going on there. What do you think Hamas people? Its possible isn't it? Why don't you show them how you treat your Muslim Fatah brothers the way you did 2 weeks ago?
13. Another 'gesture' of good will.......
Susan ,   U.S   (08.23.08)
.......to a terror state ruled by terror who holds the son of Israel captive. Of course those supposed "peace activists," and those who support them might never ask why there is a blockade on Gaza to begin with. What a joke, standing with those whose charter vows to throw all of Israel into the sea!!! Mazel tov.
14. Welcome Terrorism Enablers!!
Naomi   (08.23.08)
You must be so proud of yourselves. BTW: If the Gazans are so sick of being ruled by terror why don't they get off their buts and strike those (their own leaders) who are keeping them there. If in fact the blockade is what is keeping them in Gaza they can do something about it.........first realizing it is their terrorist leaders that caused the blockade in the first place. But hey, why should they when all the enablers of the world are leading them away from truth not closer to it.
15. to #4.....expose the liars.
A mother ,   U.S   (08.23.08)
Would Haaretz the leading Israeli rag (who is quoted in hundreds upon hundreds of anti Israel op-eds and filthy hateful websites and blogs) post your excellent proclamations? Those like Haaretz including the ones on this peace boat only serve to enable the enemy. What a shame but this is how it is. Of course they would never admit it but then willful blindness seems to trump truth each and every time.
16. This 'Israeli' should have his citizenship revoked...
Seth ,   Israel   (08.23.08)
This 'Israeli' should have his citizenship revoked for helping an enemy nation. Or be charged with treason as that is what he is truly committing.
17. now stop them leaving....
Danny   (08.23.08)
18. my my
Cameron ,   USA   (08.23.08)
Three boatloads of twits landing & beginning a long, grueling session of kissing the *sses of those who despise them. What a world.
19. "peace activists" reach gaza
elliot ,   usa   (08.23.08)
they should be made to stay there if they are israelis and deported if not
20. #13 This is a classic example of the blind leading the blind
Now if only they can ,   find that ditch!!!!   (08.23.08)
21. how can international be leftist?
(08.23.08)
22. # 9 Not only that...
Bill ,   US   (08.23.08)
but they had flags on the boats representing the countries of the participating activists accept one. Israel. And to be sure, the Israeli made no protest about it.
23. Hamas activists victory over Israel
Rick ,   New York   (08.23.08)
This is a huge victory for Hamas. Terrible for Israel. Total victory for Hamas.
24. What did everyone expect from livni?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.23.08)
So the foreign ministry slammed them with hollow words. Did anyone expect anything else from barak? What a bunch of sad sacks we have running the corrupt and cowardly regime! The boats should have been boarded and confiscated. The terrorists on board jailed, then tried. The boats leaving gaza should have been destroyed with all on board. A vote for kadim/ labor/ sh-ass is a vote to surrender. What does ayatollah yusuf think about the terrorists doing this on the Jewish Shabbat?
25. Baloons! 50,000 condoms would have done the world a favor!
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (08.23.08)
26. #11 start with celebrating their surviving the sea minefield
observer   (08.23.08)
((Israelis could use this delegation for their own public relations purposes))
27. so this was all just for show
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.23.08)
typical leftists - all words and fluff but no substance. they should be glad they weren't lynched. mission accomplished!
28. Withdraw the citizenship of every Israeli who participated
Antonio ,   Haifa   (08.23.08)
and leave them in Gaza!
29. what does holocaust survivor, Hedy Epstein, say in Gaza?
observer   (08.23.08)
No matter what the Israelis do, they cannot take away the hope and the dignity of the Palestinian people. The Israelis have the power, the Palestinian people have dignity and despite all odds, still have hope. The Israelis have the airplanes from which they drop bombs in Gaza, they have bulldozers made here in the United States, not far from my home, they can do all those things, but despite this imbalance of power, the Israelis will never be able to destroy Palestinians' hope and dignity. I feel it is important for the Palestinians who are not allowed to leave Palestine, who are living under the Israelis military occupation, in such horrendous conditions, to know that there are people in other parts of the world who condemn the Israeli oppression, who care enough to come there, and to share their difficulties and sufferings, even if it is for a very short time. Most Palestinians I have met have asked me to tell the American people what I have seen and experienced, because the American people do not know, because the media does not inform them. I have made a commitment to do that. I have given talks at high schools, universities, churches, community groups, in the United States, as well as in Germany (in German). I urge people to go to Palestine to see and experience life there. It is a life changing experience. They will come back a different person, more aware, more sensitive and hopefully challenged to make a difference.
30. Too many activists, not enough food.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.23.08)
Simple solution. Eat the activists.
