1. Children of war
David ,   Israel   (08.28.08)
This is a very tragic story, but now, print one about poor Jewish children who were horribly injured or killed by Arabs. Be fair!!
2. #1 To be fair, far more Arab children are hurt than Jewish
(08.28.08)
3. So we can expect a birthday party in Gaza ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.28.08)
For Israeli children wounded in Sderot or elsewhere, right? Any day now .........
4. #2 To be fair, will we ever see the Palestinians do this?
JPS ,   Efrat   (08.28.08)
Forgot the numbers game. Let's play the equivalence game. Have the Palestinians ever offered medical care or tried to compensate for any of the people they have crippled in their attacks on Israeli civilians? Will they?
5. You are missing the point
Zuri ,   Sydney Australia   (08.28.08)
THIS is outrageous, it doesn't matter what is she a Palestinian or Israeli or what religion she is...Little Maria Amman got absolutely nothing to do with the conflict, she is only a child who's got caught in middle. It is shame shame shame on us, and Israel should do all it can to help her, her poor father and who ever left from her family
6. # 5 You're Missing the Point
Thomas   (08.28.08)
Israel has their own Maria Amman's to care for and to be sure, the "peace activists" won't do a thing for them. The Gazans should help themselves by not electing terrorists to their government who hide among the civilian population.
7. Why Should We Care??
Adina Kutnicki ,   Israel,new olah   (08.28.08)
What's the matter YNET, there are not enough Jewish crippled children from Arab terror to make a fuss over? Further, the Jewish 'peace' activist should get her butt to a hospital & visit ALL the maimed children from Arab terror. As if.
8. Thanks Zuri,
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.28.08)
9. Adina
johan ,   j'burg, SA   (08.28.08)
spouts of her usual hatred, anger and existential identity crisis (sorry to see that moving to israel hasn't cleared that up for you?) "why should we care"... are you actually incapable of feeling any compassion for another human being, a 100% innocent little girl who did nothing to deserve this - her life ruined and family dead? does it matter if she is arab or jewish really in the grand scheme of suffering? FYI, when i move to israel next month i plan to volunteer with onefamily - which provides activities and support to israeli children and families who are victims of palestinian terror. you, adina, represent a very cruel and cold-hearted form of zionism, in the best tradition of jabotinsky although i doubt even he was so full of bile. as Zionists we SHOULD care about the innocent, otherwise we are not much different from the scumbags of PIJ, alquds brigades, al aqsa, etc maybe you can listen to the song "perach" by yehuda poliker and note that he is not singing about a jewish child or an arab child, he is just singing about an innocent little angel who is killed in war. i imagine that you hate gays too though, so you probably won't care to listen and consider the beautiful and tragic lyrics.
10. Zuri is one of the few here who does get the point
Murphy ,   Perth Australia   (08.29.08)
This is an innocent child who lost her mother and siblings. How can anyone with a shred of compassion begrudge her a bit of happiness and the hope that she can continue to get the best medical care? If she gets sent back to Gaza, there's a good chance she'll die, but some people here would rather see an innocent child put at risk of death or whine about stuff that has nothing to do with Maria than show the smallest shred of basic decency.
