1. Only the Jewish people can make the Land of Israel bloom.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (09.02.08)
Passionate anti-Semites who manipulate historical facts will never allow the truth to abort their plans for our people. We've been at death's door many times over, but a remnant has always survived to continue our story to its next chapter. When a third of our people were in the graveyards of their golden medinah of Europe, as another third cowered in self-consciousness and fear of anti-Semitism in America, and the balance were scattered in countries ready to finalize a solution for them; when the future looked like no future at all, destiny opened the gates to the Land of Israel and Jews from around the world rushed to a barren land that nobody else really wanted. This land is our land not only because of historical truth and International Legitimacy (The San Remo agreements) but also because we, the Jewish people, have build it and made it bloom. The historical and political truth about rights and legitimity can be read in its 5 parts at : http://xrl.us/bi5c6
2. Only one place for ahmadinejad to go
Michael Ezrachi ,   St. Louis, USA   (09.02.08)
The time has come for ahmadinejad to be sent to hades. The leader of iran and the ruling mullahs must be removed for the sake of the Iranian people. And the nuclear reactor must be destroyed. Cut off the head and the snake will die. Once iran is dealt with, syria will fold. Israel should deal with Mahmoud with an iron fist, not appease him like obama would do. (I don't care if I spelled the iranian president's name right or not, he deserves no respect or dignity).
3. Bring all Iranian Jews back to Israel
Zion   (09.02.08)
And destroy Iran's military infrastructure

Jared ,   New York, USA   (09.02.08)
I appreciate your passion on behalf of Israel (and your oft-linked website), but your assertion that American Jews are "cowering in self-consciousness and fear of anti-Semitism in America" is completely ridiculous. Why did the nearly 400,000 Israelis (such as myself) who moved to America since 1948 choose to move here? So they could cower in self-consciousness and fear of anti-Semitism? Or so they could live in a genuine democracy and financial powerhouse where political and economic freedom aren't hindered by a comically inept, socialist government and, more importantly, where the Jewish people have obtained a degree of success, influence, and acceptance unheard of since the Roman expulsion? Besides, plenty of Israelis seem to be afflicted by the same "self-consciousness." Is there any other nation on earth so unsure of its own right to exist that it fails to take legitimate military action against the terrorists who hurl rockets at its citizens every day out of fear of what the "international community" might think of it? And how about those religious Israelis who don't wear their kippot in the Army because the secular soldiers tease them?
5. aliyah to america
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.02.08)
the beauty of america, taking all who love liberty and freedom. it's much better than being stranded in europe.
6. # 4 Jared
Jermain ,   US   (09.02.08)
# 1 is referring to the Jews in America during the period of about 1933-1947 and is largely correct. Re-read what #1 writes more carefully as he refers to the time around WWII
7. utter nutter
steve ,   london, england   (09.02.08)
Ahmedinejad is a complete nutter. So untypical of his race he will go into the history books as a racist and a product of the organized crime that is the tyrannical islam of the ayatollahs. The State of Israel will appear on every page of history that records the evil deeds of this man. Israel's moral brilliance will so illuminate those pages that this utter nutter will be cast into the utter darkness of damnation.

13. Another Iranian oddity
Septimus ,   Rome   (09.02.08)
At least they should go away from Iran. that country will soon became a very hot place, not suitable to stay ! By the way this news proves again the stupidity of the Shiite entity regime. What forbid someone saying that officialy he is going to the US or in Europe, to move thereafter to Israel ? Why does one have to keep its word with a gang of murderers like are the faked Teheran regime. .? I will finish to believe that Ayatollah's use black turbans only to protect the hot air they have in their head !
14. A promise not to Ahmadinejad or fulfilling G*d;s word?
kate b ,   uk   (09.02.08)
15. Agree with Iran
Galus Yid ,   US   (09.02.08)
I find myself shockingly in agreement with the president of Iran. I dont believe Jews should settle in the secular state of Israel because to do so is against Torah. Secondly, just look at how the state of Israel treats religious Jews. Thirdly, it is the most dangerous place for a Jew to live. Fourth, the state of Israel is increasingly being filled with goyim NOT Jews.
16. Israel Galus
True Torah Jew ,   New York   (09.02.08)
The secular zionists teach that the state of Israel should exist because it is the only place on earth were a Jew can be free from antisemitism. The truth is that Israel is the MOST DANGEROUS place for a Jew to live. The secular zionsts say they arent in galus anymore but they dont know Torah, because we are ALL in a SPIRITUAL GALUS until Messiach comes.
17. Galus and Messiach?
Mike ,   TA   (09.03.08)
Am I the only one to the that these two words are at odds with each other? Try any of these: Galus/Golus and Meshich Galut and Moshiach Exile and the Messiah The transcription offered in No. 16 smells a liiiiittttle bit fake.... As is someone posing as a Haredi.
18. immegration
sara ,   jerusalem   (09.03.08)
to run away from killing or to seek better life . i think jews in the exudese were runing from farroieh unjustice .but since 100 years ago they were looking for money or better life and benifits ....
19. Persian jews are the smartest!
IRAN#1   (09.03.08)
The vast majority of them left Iran and headed for the best areas in NY and CA. Why would they would want to live as a 2nd class citizen in Israel? They rather be a 2nd class citizen in America like millions of other immigrants and they tell you stories about Iran telling them not to go to Israel, yeah sure!!!!
20. Oh come on Kate, dont be so naive...
Harissa ,   Israel   (09.03.08)
21. just a silly excuse not to make alia :)
name ,   city & country   (09.03.08)
"The Jewish community in Vienna and the Jewish Agency suggested that the Iranian Jews immigrate to Israel instead of waiting for the required permits to enter the US, but the Jews refused, saying they promised the Iranian government they would not immigrate to Israel. "
22. Once These Jews Left Iran They Could Have Gone Anywhere
World Citizen ,   the world   (09.03.08)
So unless they had families back in Iran that could have been threatened I think the excuse they gave is lame. Now if they had families in Iran that's another story. But the odds of have 40 out of 40 having remaining families in Iran is very small. I bet that they just wanted to go live in the real land of milk and honey. And who in Israel can blame them? Half of the citizens in your country are trying to get green cards so they too can go work in the "promised land"!

24. #22 - World Citizen, If your options...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (09.03.08)
If your options are either a McMansion somewhere in Beverly Hills and a dilapidated flat in Tel Aviv, the choice of residence for any Persian Jew fleeing Iran is pretty clear...
25. Irangeles!
Dan ,   Los Angeles   (12.24.10)
I think its great that these Jews will be coming to Los Angeles and then make themselves at home in Beverly Hills. You know what we call Beverly Hills here? Little Tehran.
