1. a sharp shooter would have been better than nothing
zionist forever   (09.08.08)
Its unfortunate that Mengle couldnt be captured and brought to justice in Israel but if they could have hit him with a sharp shooter they should have done. Mengle spilled plenty of jewish blood it would have been a form of justice if his blood was spilled by a jew. Instead he was allowed to live many more years a free man and die an old man ... how many of the people who went into Aushwitz were that lucky and how many of his jewish lab rats were that lucky? Israel had a duty to arrest or kill him but not left him a free man for the rest of his life. Why was there a Knesset leak over the Eichman issue cant they ever keep their big mouths shut
2. What to do?
Bill H. ,   Oregon, USA   (09.08.08)
Taking him to court is one option but I think he would look right at home in a zoo.
3. The CIA hired ex Nazis
Mark ,   Boston   (09.09.08)
The CIA knew where all the Nazis were hiding and hired them in the CIA.
4. Sharpshooter to lenient
Barry ,   NYC   (09.09.08)
Removing both his eyeballs might have been more appropriate.

7. This delusional old fool is drinking too much koolaid
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (09.09.08)
He should haul his murderous self off to la Hague and confess his crime against humanity i.e. being part of a genocide regime that inflicts untold murder destruction and mayhem on the Palestinians, collective punishment, murder by missiles, illegal occupation as well dropping mils. of cluster bombs on unarmed defenseless civilians.
8. #5, when did Israel want to eradicate Palestinians?
Danny   (09.09.08)
9. leader is the grand ayatollah
ben yaacov ,   herzliya   (09.09.08)
The leader o0f Iran is NOT the president. The leader of Iran is the grand ayatolla!!! The regime enforcers are the revolutionary guard. Parliament and the president are subordinate to them not the other way around.
10. #5, Sorry, what exactly are "palasinians"
Jake   (09.09.08)
11. shaky suppositions
tom ,   toronto, canada   (09.09.08)
such a threat is based on a few rather dubious assumptions: 1) that the judges in the hague are actually concerned with justice. in view of the hasty and ill-considered remarks of louise arbour during the hezbollah war, this is clearly not the case. they are politically motivated and clearly biased against israel. 2) that ahmadinejad is the main force behind iran's belligerence. again, this is not supported by the facts. rather, it would seem that his behaviour is directed by the eschatological mumbo-jumbo of several religious leaders such as the ayatollah khameini. removing him while leaving them in control would risk israel's intelligence assets to accomplish nothing. 3) that iran is a threat to israel. in fact, iran's armed forces cannot reach israeli territory, whereas hezbollah is a real and much greater threat. if anyone should be dragged out of his hiding hole and put on trial, it should be nasrallah, who has committed war crimes against both israeli and lebanese, and who remains in a position to commit more crimes. hanging him would probably set hezbollah back a few years.

15. less talk, more action!
Mark Katzman   (09.09.08)
Talk costs nothing--it's cheap! Judging by the recent screw-up in Georgia where Israeli drone technology fell into soviet (oops), russian hands, I'd say that I wouldn't lose any sleep over any threats the Mossad might make re: "dinnerjacket."
16. #5 So small Mans brick
Eytan ,   Los Angeles   (09.09.08)
I thought you where told to educate yourself with facts or shut your trap. Nice spelling of the mystery people. Your ignorance is limitless. You mean so-called maverick and the so-called pals.
17. This sounds like...
TC ,   Haifa   (09.09.08)
A rerun of Mission Impossible First Season. Does someone seriously think that the Iranian leader is as less careful as were the nazis after the war? And also, the idea to make the headlines of a newspaper is beyond my understanding assuming this was a serious project.
18. babblings of senility
Mike ,   Jerusalem   (09.09.08)
Has Alzheimer's claimed another victim? Loose lips sink ships, if it is true this babbling alter kaker should keep his mouth shut. No wonder he lost Dr. Mengele's trail and bungled his agent Jonathan Pollard's life!
19. a notice of things to come
Septimus ,   Rome   (09.09.08)
Bring Ahmadarejendeh before the Hague tribunal would be a great news ! Maybe he would also hear voices telling him what do ! Tht's how all that fake Iranian leadership will finish.

27. reply to #5 Jake
Bandar ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (09.09.08)
You dont know what exactly "Palestinians" are? Its those people that live in Gazza and the west Bank, that are being massacred on a daily basis by the Jewish state.
28. it's war
fish ,   tel-aviv   (09.09.08)
It's war, and all means are used, including psycholigical intimidation of the enemy. If Nasrallah heard every morning some Israeli MK saying - eventually Nasrallah must be eliminated ( Carthago must be destroyed) he would have more sleepless nights and necome erratic. In the war you have to instill fear into your enemies' souls, instead Israelis are punched in the stomach by every mroning paper which happily quotes Ahmadi and Nasrallah's threats. Arafat developed a lip tremble when Sharon said - I wouldn't advise any insurer to issue a health policy for him.
29. #20 JAyy
Said ,   London, UK   (09.09.08)
Everybody gets invented sometime. At one point, there were no Jewish people, then one day a guy called Abraham gets a telegramme from God, and hey presto, the Jewish people are born! Obviously it took a few more generations, but you get the point. With a rise in Arab nationalism, after the fall of the Ottoman empire, people started defining themselves by their geographical location and their cultural traits. Both Ben Gurion and Jabotinsky recognised this in the Arabs living in Palestine. Try as much as you want to deligitimise their claims - you'll just be pissing into the wind!
30. To #2 (about the zoo)
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.09.08)
I agree, it would have been fun to go see Mengele living in the baboon cage. Only problem is, what did the baboons ever do to deserve such cruel treatment?
