1. THEY'RE BOTH A PARADIGM .....................
AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (09.12.08)
FOR STUPIDITY, IGNORANCE AND INEPTITUDE WITH A FULL MEASURE OF HUBRIS TO BOOT ! THEY BOTH SHOULD GET A POLE; RIGHT UP THEIR @$$&$ ! THEIR ABSENCE OF DYNAMIC INSIGHT IS, EQUALED ONLY BY THE LEVEL OF CIVIL ACUMEN OF THE ISRAELI ELECTORATE ! THEIR CORRUPT PERSPECTIVE ON THINGS IS EQUALED ONLY BY POLICE AND IDF WILLINGNESS TO JUST FOLLOW ORDERS! Maybe one day ,if Israelis learn what a democracy, a republic, or authentic capitalism is and the required synergy of the three necessary for success, than Israelis could sing Hatikva with some promise ! The prerequisite for the aforementioned is an EDUCATION ! Peace can not happen NOW, so the realization of peace is an ongoing vigilant initiative like, the virus protection of your computer, and the likes of tamir and her PEACE NOW cohorts will never impart the discipline required for anything "ongoing" ! Israeli's want it NOW, INSTANTLY ! If an Israeli isn't in a uniform, (on shabbat many will wear a suit with the store label on the sleeve because the label ie, uniform, is paramount !) they’re incapable of fulfilling the role of vigilance required for continuity ! Israeli's sense of national identity would seem to require a "label on the sleeve" that can be effectuated only by a "stripe" on a uniform ! Perhaps that's why they appoint so many high ranking uniforms to "lead" them ! Tragically neither Livni nor Mofaz are capable of dispensing any implement for values such as continuity, as the death toll on Israeli roads has indicated !
2. PERHAPS IF ISRAELI'S REALIZED.........
EDWINA KEN   (09.12.08)
what leadership was; as is embodied in RUDOLPH JULIANI, than they would realize: "Change is not a destination as, hope is not a strategy!"
3. Must be the year of the Women since so many are arising
Rivkah   (09.12.08)
as public figures. The Bible says woe to the nation that is ruled by women or children since it is often a judgment from the Lord, but there are a few exceptions like the ancient Israelite judge Deborah.
4. Livni has a better chance of forming a government?!
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (09.12.08)
I would say that the chances of Livni being able to form a government are close to zero whereas Mofaz would be able to form one almost overnight. Still we are talking about members of Kadima that expressed their opinion so it shouldn't be surprising that they haven't got a clue. My understanding of the law and I might be wrong is that if Livni cannot form a government that Peres can give another MK 28 days to form a government. Bibi would be the obvious choice. I haven't seen any journalist make mention of the above which is perhaps not surprising as research takes time. Mike
5. #3 - it's all about hot air! Just kidding :-)
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (09.12.08)
6. both are useless livni is worse
zionist forever   (09.12.08)
Neither Shaul Mofaz or Livni are what Israel needs right now especialy Livni who is so proud of her role in negotiating resolution 1701 and has vote with Olmert for virtualy all these unpopular policies he has made. She is also like Olmert ambitious and will do anything it takes to get her name into the history books. Its unfortunate that she is the favorite but being 15% before the primary doesnt mean she has been elected. If one of the no hopers drop out at the last minute and assuming their backers change their vote to Mofaz he can still win it. Look how just choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate McCains hopes have done a complete u turn and now Obama is fighting to stay on top. Also just because somebody agrees to take part in a poll doesnt mean they will bother to vote when the time comes. Polls are not accurate and they dont take the unknown factor into account.
7. livni
av ,   london .uk   (09.12.08)
they critics always say when it is sepharade they dont stop saying that they dont speak english ,anyone herd livni speaking english its terrible not word with out ai ai ai ai and nobody understand what she talking about
8. #7 "anyone herd livni speaking english"
British Oleh ,   Tel Aviv   (09.12.08)
I don't know why I read talkbacks any more. The world over - they are a haven for the grammatically challenged.
9. Resurrecting a dead horse?
Brod ,   USA   (09.12.08)
It won't work. A dead horse cannot be resurrected. In perilous time as this, Israel must renew itself through the process of national election so that the nation can determine the destiny of their country by electing a strong and competent government that can protect and defend them from the menacing ravenous wolves, usurpers, and those who are feverishly working on their nukes and have threatened Israel's existence.
10. 90% of Israeli demand General Elections NOW!
JAyyy ,   Israel   (09.12.08)
11. #3 Where in the Bible does it say that?
JP ,   USA   (09.12.08)

and there may be other places too ..
14. WHO WOULD VOTE FOR KADIMA ANYWAY?
(09.13.08)
With war around the corner - you dont need these idiots at the controls..
15. queen of Surrender will rule for the ayatollahs
Dr. Dave ,   NYC   (09.13.08)
Olmert just wanted kickbacks. Livni is an ideologue serving a cause which is being the ayatollah's candidate in the Knesset. Israelis who vote for her obviously want to live under Ahmadinejad's thumb....as long as they get their favorite T.A. croissants and coffee.
16. 11 JP:Isaiah chapter 3 as tb#13replied is what I had in mind
