Go back to planet Krypton because you have no Idea what you are talking about. Every history book about the area describes the Jewish people in Israel, every religious book including your Koran and your prophet Muhammed knows about Israel and Jerusalem has always been Jewish and all the millions of archiological discoveries and evidence shows this as well so spare me the Myth B-ll S--t, the only Myth is that an Muhammed was a prophet instead of a pedofilic psycopathic, illiterate, murdering terrorist oops was that out loud.
65. Temple Mount is Jewish !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.16.08)
A booklet issued by the "supreme Muslim council" , headed by the "infamous" Hajj Amin al-Hasayni stated : The site is one of the oldest .....It's identity with the site of Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute . So not important in wich direction Muslims prayed , this place is first of all , and ONLY , a Jewish site . And regarding Saudi King , if this place was so holy for Muslims , he would certainly have visited it .
66. To Said # 29 and alike!
Larry G. ,   Hamilton, Canada   (09.16.08)
Said and Ali, Jimana, Persian CAT, palman and Khalil why are any of you here? You're obviously not here to read this Israeli on-line newspaper! See unlike the author of this opinion piece, Mordechai Kedar who writes from facts, you people yell out propaganda! You're just like Muhammad with his glib remarks, no proof--no facts just that he's correct and the Jews are wrong! Muhammad was a classic text book example of presenting a psychopathic personality: glibness & superficial charm, grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, conning/manipulating, lack of remorse, lack of empathy, impulsive, promiscuous sexual behavior, failure to accept responsibility for owns actions and quick to anger or be violent due to a low tolerance for frustration! See unlike you who manipulate and lie, I speak the truth! If you, like your so-called prophet can't face facts you turn around the argument, insult us and say that the Jews are the one's who are the liars! But the facts are Jerusalem and the land of Canaan were part of the eternal covenant G-d made with HIS chosen people! Oh and Said...the Jewish festivals are proof that the Torah isn't plagiarized! No religion before it had an exodus of slaves being freed by their G-d, that's passover! In no other religion before the Torah was written did any people need to specifically celebrate the first fruits of working in Canaan, that became Shavuot! And no religion before Judaism specifically celebrated the ingathering of the harvest of working The Promised Land, that became Sukkot! Judaism, the exodus, an eternal covenant by G-d to live specifically in Canaan and 2 special festivals dealing with celebrating the results of farming this land--nowhere in human history are any of these facts plagiarized from an earlier religion!
67. Herzl traveled to Palestine, he could have visit the Holy

Herzl was faraway from Judaism . The king of Saudi Arabia is a "good" Muslim . I'm secular , but when i visited Israel after the 6 days war , i went to see the LIBERATED site .

" I speak the truth and you Lie!" Wow, what a great argument! You obviously didn't read my talkback. I'm obviously aware of the fact that Muhammad was a crackpot, and probably epileptic, halucinating in his cave. My point is that ALL the prohpets were crackpots, and that monotheism (all versions of it) is wrong and evil. And I'm sorry to tell you that harvesting festivals are widespread throughout the world and that many of them have religious-spiritual bents: yes, people used to worship mother nature before the advent of monotheism. Animism (the belief that inanimate objects have spirits too) is is the oldest known belief system, and had "harvest festivals" to thank mother nautre for her bounty. Your so-called proof is working against you I'm afraid. Regardless, my point was that monotheistic religions are false and that doing away with them, and their inherent prejudice (each one believes that they're "The Truth") would solve many of our problems; instead, humans steadfastly cling to outdated and hateful creeds! As for whether the Temple Mount is Jewish or not: in my opinion, if the Jews want it, they can have it, what do I care?
71. #23 Sagi that just about sums it up !
Simon ,   TA the free city   (09.16.08)
Albert Einstein says: "belief in God as "childish superstition. The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish" Actually more people have been killed and murdered in the name of God than any disease known to man kind. So who would you rather trust; Albert Einstein or Ovadia Yosef ?
72. # 64 Shaka AMEN!!!!!
Petra ,   usa   (09.16.08)
Israel should return the favor and destroy the mosque that according to Daniel, is "the abomination of desolations standing where it should not stand.." Hopefully, it will fall of it's own accord, an earthquake or, some brave Jews who will bomb this abomination back to hell.
73. The Myth of Al Aqsa
Tom Risher ,   Montgomery, Alabama   (09.16.08)
To 70 and 71. Actually, Albert Einstein did believe in God...he just did not believe that there could be a personal God given the Holocaust....more a Deist. And, as for the fact that the truth is claimed by many religions...this does not mean that one of the religions is not true...why don't you do your own extensive research and see if that is not the case. By the way...Hitler believed in Darwin and Nitsche...and Stalin was an avowed atheist...along with Pol Pot, etc, etc...they certainly succeded in killing more folks than any religious body could have thought about!
74. Smart
JACOB ,   Salvador, Brazil   (09.16.08)
I always think that Mohamed was a smart guy. Who will be able to take the jewish history and get a new face that was of his need to keep power? i see a fight in searching of new members of his religion where everything is possible. I heard about the direction to pray with Ierushalaim exactly Mr. Kedar told.. Keep Al' Aksa in the same place of the Second Temple hurts. Shalom!
75. Reply to Said # 70
Larry G. ,   Hamilton, CanadaL   (09.17.08)
Uh...I did read your talkback post # 29 and my post # 66 was a fact based argument! Now here you go again repeating the same argument in post # 29 which is that previous religions before the Torah had certain common aspects such as a linkage to only the "Last 5 Commandments". Now in post # 70 you say that religious movements predating the Torah also celebrated festivals linked to the harvest of the land. But again the facts are that the Torah is specific to G-d freeing the ancient Israelites but on the condition that they obey all HIS Laws and commandments. If they will obey, G-d will bring them to the land of milk and honey where upon HE will make a solemn covenant that the Jews will prosper in Canaan. These specifics aren't plagiarized from any other religion! And you chose to conveniently ignore what I said in my previous post that is Shavuot and Sukkot were specifically tied to the celebration of the fruits of the Jews' labours to working the land of Canaan! Although Jews in the diaspora celebrate these 2 festivals, it's done in symbolic terms because they don't give thanks to G-d for food of the ground from the countries they live in. This is a fact, the Torah is specific to one nation's struggle from bondage to freedom, regaining their faith in G-d, gaining HIS laws & commandments and being delivered to the land which G-d gave to them in a covenant. No other religion before or since the Torah has been so specific to live by a specific code of laws and specifically celebrate the richness of the land of Canaan in its produce! That's specifics--those are facts! And finally, I caught you in the biggest lie which I've been dying to hear; quote: "As for whether the Temple Mount is Jewish or not; in my opinion, if the Jews want it, they can have it, what do I care?" Your entire history of posting comments to various on-line Israeli newspapers has been one long string of Jew hatred, falsehoods, twisting around the facts of history all in your efforts to delegitimize Jewish history and Judaism as a whole to prove that the Jews have no claim to the land! OK Said, here's the TRUTH if you really don't care then stop posting immediately, don't reply to me and stop reading all Israeli publications this minute! That is...if you're not just pulling another fast one again and this isn't just one more ordinary lie of yours!

77. this goes both ways, y know
Smith ,   Tel-Aviv   (09.17.08)
why must secular, democractic, israel defer to the superstitious myths of judaism in defining its political future? there is no evidence for king solomon and little evidence, other than ancetodotal, that the western wall was part of the mythical great tmpel. indeed, the fact the stories of the temple were put to paper some 300-years or more after the event during a time of jewish captivity and slavery lends credence to the suggestion that it was all a politically motivated propaganda piece (much like revelation in the new testament). so given that all religion is political (a means of control over society) then we shouldnt accept any religiously based myths for our political decisions whether it be jewish, christian, islamic, or scientology. go to hell mordechai kedar. you're an equivocating bigot. and you nkow the double-think you have just commited wiht your foul article. after reading this i shall refrain from respecting anyone of religion........ you're all the same.
78. church in istanbul
yasin ,   istanbul turkey   (09.17.08)
the conqueror of istanbul bought the haigha sofia church and changed it into a mosque after he completely took the control of the city.No one could defence the church if he wanted to get it by force. So people of byzantium sold the church willingly. This false statement about istanbul is only one of tons of lies in this article.
79. to 78 the conqueror of istanbul "bought" ???
ygalg ,   israel   (09.17.08)
"the Hagia Sophia was converted to the Ayasofya Mosque as the symbol of the conquest." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagia_Sophia#Mosque practice kitman with your kind.
80. 78: Yassin can't even get his propaganda correct
David ,   Rehovot   (09.22.08)
"No one could defence the church if he wanted to get it by force. So people of byzantium sold the church willingly. " It's not "willing" if the only option to sale is taking it by force. The jihadist Yasin has just foolishly admitted that the Church was take by Muslims who conquered and converted it. The one "lie" you attempted to disprove, you supported.
81. Keep Islam out of Israel
Winston ,   Chester, UK   (09.24.08)
The Israeli people must come to their senses and make the blindingly obvious connection between Islamic Jihad and the fundamental tennets of the Islamic faith as recorded in the Quran/Hadith. The hatred and violence demonstrated by fundamentalist Muslims towards the Jews in Israel and non-Muslims across the world will never cease until the people who are free and discerning stand up and and tell the truth about this intolerant, irrational and hate-filled doctrine. I applaud Dr. Mordechai Kedar for this refreshingly honest article. Ban the Quran, vist: faithfreedom.org
82. invasion???
yasin ceylan ,   istanbul Turkey   (11.18.08)
When the conqueror of Istanbul, Mehmet II, get in the city ,he could have just say to the monks "Go away and let the church be mine, or I kill you" If he had done so , noone would have disobey him.Instead, he bought the church with his own money. This shows how kind and modern is a person whose people are always wanted to demonstrate as unkind and ignorant by western people.Mehmet's behaviour is the best answer to these propogandas
83. #10: so what is the truth according to you?
leonard ,   zuerich, switzerland   (02.25.12)
You told us that Dr Morechai is an ignorant, not honest bla bla bla. But on the other side you cannot at least show us what the truth according to you?
84. Temple Mount
David Ang ,   Singapore   (02.28.12)
If the moslem had considered the jewish place unholy why build your mosque on the jewish temple? Funny thing if jews are that unholy - abraham the father of arab is jew - if jew is from pigs etc then abraham a jew and father of arabs, is not arabs from pigs too ? So these kinds of 'talk' by arabs led to great distortion of truth, not only in history but in their beliefs too. When did the moslem first appeared? Long after the jewish beliefs. YES ! so why is it that moslem has used the jewish torah to be their basis of belief. so the jews predate the moslem YES ! How can then moslem deny jews were not in jerusalem. YES ! So Jews were in fact long time residents re their belief too. so if it is then Palestine is jewish territory long before any moslem had set foot in Jerusalem YES ! So why is the arabs making a war for jewish lands ?? Is this not stealing and falsehood by the moslems. so the moslem claim is nothing but falsehood and stealing land which any true and good moslem should not do. YES ! SO this truth is still not recognised by moslems then moslems should not be allowed to have any claims for what comes out from falsehood gets nothing in the end. The world has its own beliefs too - that cheating & falsehood will not prosper.
85. to unite the Arabs & Jews
David ,   Singapore   (02.28.12)
To be honest, arabs have a koran. The Jews have a torah. So which is the truth as both parties says their is the truth? So what is the truth??YES. You just got to see for yourself, what comes in from history. what comes in from the preaching. what come from reading the books, the koran and the torah YES ! what is done or what and how the peoples of these faith have done for themselves. The society has done as a total in their living , their lives, their habitat, their treatment of others, their ablilty to help others and more importantly what is the type of teaching done for their families and their society as a whole. Do these people of faith preaches ill will to others, to their family and what have you the type of person you should be, honouring others and respect for others and best of all your own decision to have your choice and not dictated to you from birth, freedom of choice is the true democracy - a self worth that is most elusive and should always be your main interpretation of true acceptance re your self worth - if your choice is done then you become that person of choice. regards, David
86. to unite Arabs & Jews
Yechiel Shlipshon ,   Portland, USA   (03.17.12)
It is important for a believer to pracise his faith. Choice is either through ignorance, or knowledge. The disrespect, and the not pracising your faith is from ignorance, which leads to you being guliable. So learn the truth, and let us find ways to work together, instead of fighting each other.

You claim that Christianity and Islam are false because they contradict the Torah and I want to know where and how you figure that Christianity contradicts the Torah? Send to my e-mail, please help me understand the Jew thinking (Islam of course need not be discussed because Allah is a pig an muhammad is a pedifile like Warren Jeffs formerly of Texas, now in prison somewhere in US) 0 Islam of course need not be discussed because Allah is a pig and mohammad is a pedifile cult leader similar to Warren Jeffs formerly of Texas now in prison somewhere in US

89. The UN
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (07.06.12)
A major player in international affairs is the UN with about 57 Islamic states and one Jewish state. The world community needs Islamic oil, which means they are cautious about confronting the Islamic world. Only in the coming days of Moshiach will the two sons of Abraham -- Isaac and Ishmael -- be reconciled and share with all humankind the Eternal Temple that will arise on the Temple Mount.
