Porush: Don’t judge me by the length of my beard    Ronen Medzini
1. Ability ?
When someone can't control himself is this ability to be a mayor ? Will he allow the Gay parade ? Girls dancing for an inauguration ? Will he allow that his friends burn trash cans ? With what we know about him , he will demonise the seculars more and more .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.16.08)
2. Many disasters have
been the fate of Jerusalem over the past 3000 years. Are we ready for one more, a self inflicted one ?

3. who needs all that?
who needs a dirty gay parade in the Holy City? who needs girls dancing in the Holy City? what we need is someone who will protect our Holy City from all dangers, spiritually and physically. Meir Porush is the one.
yechiel ,   london   (09.16.08)
4. mayor
Porash says do not measure his beard!!It is there for the sole prupose of the datim The longer the beard the more religious he must be.History has proven that every action Porash acted in or on was against the secular and now he starts to lick thier feet--liar as all politicians-Porash knows he cannot advance in politics as it is not corrupt enough so he wants to try being mayor as a last resort.Porash is bad for Jerusalem and the residents of the town.

7. What is good for the Holy City?
Very simple: Jerusalem is not a city like the others: The Holy City needs a religious candidate. Who wants to see Jerusalem turning in a new Tel Aviv? We have not enough unmorality?

11. The retrogradation of Jerusalem..
"I ask that you judge me by my experience and abilities’? he says! Experience in what? calling someone a 'pig' (how lovely) . What other ‘experience’ does this man have? He only has experience in dealing with the Haredi population – he has NONE whatsoever in dealing with the secular population. Abilities - such as putting a stop to ALL secular activity in Jerusalem? Returning its status to that of a primogenial one? Plus the fact that he simply doesn’t look the part. NEXT!!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (09.17.08)
12. Porush
To be fair I define myself as a strong dati leumi, and when we got Uri Lupolianski as mayor, I thought it was great. Finally Jerusalem has someone who understands the holiness of the city and will defend it. He did none of the things that I would have hoped a Haredi mayor would have done and the only things he did that were good were only good for the Hareidi sector. Mainly a sharp increase in Haredi schools. I don't want a mayor who is just going to fight for the Haredim. I want a mayor that will understand that we have to be together in this. And if the secular are lacking schools then they should get. Same for dati leumi's and well as Haredim. I don't see Porush as having anywhere near that attitude. He is just going to take from the city and give to the Haredim. I kind of feel that Barkat is no better in the other direction but at least he is more likely to help all sectors.
