1. Forgiveness
It's extremely obvious that the religious will close their eyes to the sins of a thief for them, while demanding the pound of flesh for a PM who has a point of view which they find offensive.
The message to political leaders is clear, the message to rabbinic leaders is quite the opposite.

2. I noticed the survey did not include Livni
As if to say she has no need for forgiveness. Oversight or an attempt at influence?

3. Chill out #1
This survey, like most Israeli surveys, is highly subjective. The questions are designed to lead the respondent to the 'desired' response. I discussed this with someone who worked for years in one of the leading polling organizations in Israel. Take all Israeli surveys with several pounds, if not truckloads of salt!! Don't try to draw conclusions from afar, just by reading an overtly subjective article on ynet.

4. Yes #3
Why is it you fail to mention Deri's attempt to be mayor of Jerusalem?
The most holy city in the Jewish world to be led by a convicted felon? This is not a survey.
Whitewash is still whitewash and a religious crook is still a crook.

5. Certainly no lack of who to forgive
It scares me that the list is so long. I would actually like to see a list of public officials who have never been caught breakng the law.

6. #4Ben :HAHA! You think Deri is too much of a crook
to be mayor of jerusalem? The only difference between Deri and Olmert is that Mazuz chose not to take Olmert to court. The evidence is all there. BTW< The same week Deri went to jail for misappropriating punblic funds that wrongly went to and educational institution, Ezer Weizmann walked free from getting caught putting ten times that amount into his own pocket. the only reason weizman got investigated was to force him to step down because at that time Peres wanted his job. In israel, if you are religious and/or sephardi, you have a much higher chance of getting investigated and convicted.

7. #6=OK to be a crook
Adam, it seems that you believe it's OK for a convicted felon to be mayor of Jerusalem just as long as he is Sephardi.and religious.
If the Jerusalemites are in agreement, then they deserve what they get.
BTW, I think Jerusalem deserves better than a thief to be her leader.
