Livni is NOT a democratic person
2. Livni & Stable Government
Gershon Hunt ,   Wexford, Ireland   (09.28.08)
BH Kadima chairman, Linvi, states that she wants a stable coalition. In a democracy, stability of the government is not by the establishment of an administration foisted upon the people, coupled by surrender to terrorists who wish undermine the state. Rather stability is established by the continued confidence of the people in the administration. If Livni and Peres want stable government, then let them ask the people of Israel, to give a mandate by the calling of an election. Lets just see if a mandate will be given to a government which can countenance abject poverty, disasterous economic policies, and an over eagerness to split the Capital and give away our territories. I can hassard a guess as to whether such a mandate would be given. Livni & Kadima can also only guess. I think we both could see the same outcome of an election, hence their retinence to allow the people choose.
3. Will Shas quit the coalition now?
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (09.28.08)
My feeling is that they were playing with Livni until a decision was made on Deri. Mike
4. Wheres democracy? General Elections NOW!
freejay3 ,   Israel   (09.28.08)
5. We will not allow 1%ers to control
Arie ,   BaGolan   (09.28.08)
99% of the population wants general elections. livni and her cohorts in the 1% believe this is some single-party realm, like syria and lebanon, where with 1% of the electorate they can rule. If she wants stability she will have to agree to elections.
6. Will the silent majority rise?
(09.28.08)
Will we have elections? Will the silent majority rise? Will we have true a leader free of corruptions? Will we have a leader that does what the true majority wants? This R"H we need to cry for Hashem to allow MBY/MBD to lead us to redemption before our Arab neighbors and Edom takes advantage of our leaderless country and tries to destroy us.
7. Any coalition that zippy the pinhead forms
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.28.08)
belongs in a stable!
8. Stability and Democracy
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (09.28.08)
The whole election was a farce. What about condemning attacks on Jews and on Jewish religious places. What about condemnation of leftist groups getting money from foreign governments. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com
9. LIVNI THE EX-RIGHT ARM OF OLMERT THE THIEF....

11. Must Must Must Must
Arie ,   BaGolan   (09.29.08)
Not the words of a democratic institution. But then, the 1%ers never claimed to be democratic
12. #6 Israelis don't "rise up" against anything
Jared ,   New York, USA   (09.29.08)
Unless you believe that kvetching a lot constitutes civil disobedience. Really, what does the Israeli government have to fear, no matter how much social/political/economic/security injustice and indignity it heaps onto its people? 500 people carrying signs in Rabin Square? Israelis are many things, but effective grassroots organizers and protesters they are not.
13. jerusalem tunnel
alexi   (09.29.08)
A lot of people supporting olmert conveniently forget it was he who advocated opening a tunnel in jeruslaem while he was mayor which led to arab riots and 15 -20 israelis killed and scored wounded. Aliza almost it is reported divorced him.. After this time, Ehud changed his views to fit aliza's to avoid divorce. So Olmert's policies are those of aliza olmert.Again, she was not in favor of any war and that's why she sent her sons out of the country to avoid the idf. Even if israel is in a war of existence, Aliza does not want her sons to fight for israel.Ehud is forced to say something and that's why he looks constantly uncomfortable. The only things he is really ehud and honest about are nice meals and hotel rooms, pens and watches, collecting cash, and impressing idiots with his philosophical musings. While he could teach a course at college, he has zero capability to run a war.
