1. The world must awake to the threat Iran poses to all of us.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (10.06.08)
Iran should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. This is an issue that should unite all peace loving countries : Americans, Europeans and the others. Iran has many vulnerabilities, including a regime weakened by sanctions and a population eager to embrace opportunities with the West. If increasing economic pressure will not change Iran’s behavior, Ahmedinejad, Ahmedinejad alone, will be responsible for the results of a military strike. In order to understand the hate of Ahmedinejad to the USA and its danger: http://xrl.us/orwin
2. It is only a problem for Israel
Jack   (10.06.08)
i don´t mind if Iran has nuclear weapons or not, all countries on the world want to be nuclear, not only europeans, americans or israelies. It is normal. At the end all countries will have nuclear weapons,it is unnavoidable.
3. Put the entire country on a war-footing AND INVADE

4. #2 Jack: Only a problem for Israel
Ben ,   Pennsylvania USA   (10.06.08)
If the Iranian regime were sane or almost sane like the old Soviet one was you would have a point, but they are not! It is an oligarchy based on mad perception of heaven sent directives. Religious nuts are dangerous period! And not just to Israel. If the Teheran Regime decides to drop a bomb on any Gulf state, the end resulting economic meyham would impact the entire world. Contrary to the "bury your head in the sand" crowed, this is not just Israel's issue. Yes, in Israel's case it is existential, but the danger to everyone else is also incredibly high. Everyone seems to convienently forget the last nut job idealist who threatened to wipe someone out and almost made it happen. I happen to believe Ahmad-ibn-harrara-jad. It is time everyone else took him at his words.
5. why doesn't somebody remind the world that europe has been
Zippy   (10.06.08)
talking--er begging and kneeling and blackmailing Iran for years and talking does not work. Hear that NObama? Maybe Bush will need a diversion and start bombing like Clinton did when we all learned of Monica's "smoking gun" blue dress--that he did not have "sexual relations with that woman"?
6. # 2 I agree
Larry ,   zefat Israel   (10.06.08)
A nuclear Iran is Israels' problem.Either Israel will deal with it or not,why should other countries stick their neck out?
7. Well, right now, Pakistan is a bigger problem. The US
Rivkah   (10.06.08)
Federal government is searching for Pakistani nukes that are expected to be used on US cities on October 7 according to radical Islamic websites. The two cities discussed on the radical websites as targets are Washington, D.C. and New York City. The government believes Pakistan supplied the nukes according to Kade Hawkins October newsletter. Authors such as John Hagee (Jerusalem Countdown) and Michael Rood (Mystery of Iniquity...) list seven cities the Islamic have threatened to nuke in one day in America: NYC, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. That may be tomorrow or sometime in October is the internet chatter is of actual planned events and not deliberate disinformation. Remember that in 2001, a popular Moslem calendar had the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center blowing up in the month of September. Michael Rood discusses the probable Bible Prophecies in Zechariah that foretold that: a flying roll with something deadly inside it. The scroll or roll had wings like a bird (airplane). It hit two brass mountains (twin towers of WTC?). From that came four chariots (war vehicle, indicating attacks). One of the targets of the chariots (war vehicles) was Shinar (Iraq). Another war chariot went to Afganistan. There are two more locations for two more war chariots that come out of the two brass mountains (twin tower destruction).
8. Iran is not so important now.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.06.08)
The world economy is collapsing, and people are more concerned about loosing their homes, their jobs, their investments, food, water and electricity. Iranis the least of the worries.
9. They didn't stop Israel before, why stop Iran now
Hummer ,   USA   (10.06.08)
10. #9: Do you really believe there is no difference?
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (10.06.08)
A nuclear defensive Israel vs. offensive Iran? Tolerance of a nuclear Israel is the one good will gesture the international community has stuck with throughout the entire anti-Israel whine fest. Why? Because they have nothing to worry about.
11. #2 & 6 - you need to go back to school
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (10.06.08)
and learn what happens during a nuclear attack. Here's a clue: Israel is surrounded by other countries. Take it from there to here: more local allies than foes of Ahmadinejad will die, and Mediterranean and some African nations may have something to say about being made infidel martyrs.
12. #4 Agree. It's in fact...
Soeren ,   Cologne/Germany   (10.06.08)
... a problem for the entire world as Iran might blackmail Europe and all Arab states – and can have a tremendous bad influence on world economy and international security. The Arab states Egypt and Saudi Arabia (as well as Turkey) would never accept an Iranian (Shiite) dominance in the region and have said already that they would strive for an atomic bomb as well when Iran gets one. Obviously they have no real problem with the Israeli one. Atomic bombs in the hands of some lunatics (by far not all states in the world are mature ones) will dramatically increase the risk of an atomic war. The US and NATO should switch off the Iranian nuclear programme...
13. Pray for these people
Amri ,   Miami USA   (10.07.08)
Many people are going to die very soon because of all this mess. We should pray for the people in these countries. God have mercy on them, at least we know the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ is right around the corner
