1. Yet an other Islamic dictator
Hiram ,   Zweilutschinen   (10.07.08)
Of course, we all know who is Ahmed the bearded nazi ! An other Jew hater in the same fashion he also hates American . In the past , this gentleman has claimed that Islam was well ahead of the rest of the world in treatment of prisonners and in human rights ( we all know that don't we ? ). Once again , when Islamists see the slightest chance for peace, they rock the boat. Peace would mean that they have lost the game and will not be able to stirr-up trouble anymore. I quote herebelow one of this Islamic Nazi saying in May 2007 : "Allah, take hold of the Jews and their allies, Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies. ... Allah, count them and kill them to the last one and don't leave even one," said Bahar last week in a speech broadcast on official PA television, which is controlled by PA President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party. Ahhhhhhh ! those Islamic values ........
2. He should retire to a pig farm and be head groomer.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.07.08)
3. Give us Hamas - To wake stupid Israelis
A simple Jew ,   Yesha ISRAEL   (10.07.08)
Many Israelis want to throw us out of our homes in a historical part of Jewish Israel. Why? To satisfy their idiotic idea that their partners for peace will allow them to stay in Israel. Get it right! We are the backbone of Israel. At least Hamas has the face of an enemy, and may wake up ignorant Jews who prefer fighting against other Jews rather than knowing their true enemy! Bring it on!
4. How Undemocratic.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (10.07.08)
Hamas, not exactly a pro-democracy movement, wants to oust the equally undemocratic Abbas. Before criticising the undemocratic nature of Palestinian politics though, we should reflect on our own rather undemocratic political system. What I can't figure out, however, is if our politicians are copying the Arabs or the Arabs are copying us.
5. To Terry #4
Hiram ,   Zweilutschinen   (10.07.08)
Terry.... I share your views. Full fledged democracy starts with separation of religion from the state affairs. This is not the case in Israel as we all know . We have inherited our unability to split both from biblical days and although I can understand the root causes I certainly not approve of the results. The only difference with the Islamists is basically that most of us do not want to annihilate Moslems, whereas Hamas has based its policy of eradication of Israel, those who support Israel and- by extension and religious beliefs- those who are not Moslems. The provocative attitude of Hamas, directly linked with that of Iram, coupled with the total lack of democracy in all the Islamic world make Israel's semi-democracy look like Gan Eden......!
6. Settling accounts ?
Hiram ,   Zweilutschinen   (10.07.08)
Is Ahmed the Gaza Nazi settling accounts with somebody : Died in jail , Khalid Ahmad Bahar Beit Omar- Hebron 35 Married and father of 6 25/5/2000 PSS 6/6/2000 PSS Headquarter . Incredible what one can find when using a search engine and associating AHMAD BAHAR with the word TERROR , a word well known to Islamic "jihaddists"!
7. Free Bargouti
Nadav ,   Misgav   (10.07.08)
It is either him or the Hamas. What do you prefer?
8. One thing that must be said for them.......
AVROHOM BILGREI   (10.07.08)
at least in terms of the pictorial display in their "parliament" they display a hell of a lot more allegience for their forign prisoners then the entire kenesset does for POLLARD (or any mia)!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. TERRY,TERRY,TERRY,.............................
AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (10.07.08)
Good point, TRAGICALLY GOOD !
10. Terry, not exactly a pro-democracy ........
Edwina Ken   (10.07.08)
movement ? The inference being that the HIGHEST value is "democracy" ? Are they indeed not equally or more "democratic" than Israel, how many people voted them in, compared to Livni ? So clearly, they are very democratic FOR THEMSELVES which is telling yet, "democracy" ain't IT ! WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STOP BASTARDIZING THE TERM ?
11. Does anyone in the world recognize Hamas?
Enzo ,   London,UK   (10.07.08)
12. #5 Hiram, Zweilutschinen.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (10.07.08)
I wouldn't want to push the comparison too far - I meant the undemocratic nature of the party list system which allows corrupt, self-serving political hacks which infest our political life to make "deals"to stay in power & avoid elections. The unaccountability of our dysfunctional system also allowed Oslo to be shoved down our throats, allowed for the disasterous "disengagement" from Gaza, kept the corrupt & incompetent Olmert in power, & which continues in the machinations of Kadima, Labour, & Shas to delay elections. While I generally support separation of religion from politics, a Jewish State cannot survive without some connexion to religion & Jewish "peoplehood" (for want of a better term). I'm completely secular but if everyone were like me, there would soon be no Jews. We are world's apart as a society from the Arabs - as you say, our semi-democracy is Gan Eden compared to Arab society.
13. Watch Peres pardon Bargouti in 2 months
zionist forever   (10.07.08)
Olmert, Livni and many members of the Labour party are under some misguided belief that Bargouti is Superman. He is going to become the next PA president and Hamas will loose all their power and he will end terror and bring peace. Any of these Bargouti lovers read the Prisoners Document recently which was drafted by Bargouti himself during his time in jail and in it he says what he calls armed resistance is justified. He was Arafats right hand man and support for Bargouti is support for Arafat but considering the world Israel included chose to bury their heads in the sand for a decade with Arafat why should this be any different they want him to be the man of peace so badly they will turn a blind eye to terror and praise him for things they like to see him do.
14. To Terry #12
Hiram ,   Zweilutschinen   (10.07.08)
Terry, the party system in Israel is not THAT bad. What is bad are the Israeli politicians, and there is a very large amount of root-causes for that, including but not limited to the size of the country, the rare opportunities to make a decent living, the machism characterizing israeli males, and the " inbred" corruptibility which characterizes the middle-east. Changes in society, Amricanization, and the pursuit of illusion ( easy money, no efforts, no commitments, everyone can lie...) have contributed to this situation. There is however some hope....15 years ago no-one would have talked about sex-addicts like Katsav or professional liers such as our former " prime minister"... Moralization of politics starts by taking away outrageous perks ! Moralization of politics starts by cleaning-up the pig sties wherever they are located. I do not challenge our ties with the bible ...What I do challenge is the fact that for generations, religion has been ruling this country, just like religion has been ruling the united states ! ( In God we Trust ! ) Hag Sameach !
