1. I don't want to read Syrian propaganda
(10.14.08)
Don't shove it in our faces.
2. Warped logic in turning the blame around.
Jayjay33 ,   Israel   (10.14.08)
The Arabs started the riot by driving like a maniac through a populated area during the holiEst JEWISH DAY OF THE YEAR. Then the Arab leaders called for a pogrom over the loudspeakers and 2000 of them come and started yelling kill the Jews, while destroting Jewish property, yet the Arab press turns it around and blames Israel because a few kids retaliated and threw some rocks. WHat a pack of liars!
3. Israel
Mark Montgomery ,   NYC, USA   (10.14.08)
Israel is the only pocket of civilization in the whole of the middle east, the archaic Muslim societies are falling apart because they're totally out of touch with civilization. Thank God for Israel.
4. If we would have used syrian methods
jason white ,   afula,israel   (10.14.08)
of riot prevention, then there would be 20,000dead arabs like in Homa. tibi has no right to speak and he has no right to sit in the knesset. he never served in the I.D.F. and should not be allowed into politics. As for arresting Jews for eating during the day in ramadan, perhaps the next coalition will agree to it. They get the anti Zionist anti Israel arabs parties in the coalition, they would remove the star of David from our flag and call uthe "ishmael".

Kill all Iranians and Syrians everywhere. Oh? Are you offended by that? Sorry, now we'll have to burn something down in celebration of the Religion of Peace.
8. gee, bashar asaad, you don't say?
(10.14.08)
zionist gangs???? where were those zionist gangs prior to 1946???? i am sure you mean the arab mobs under the severily anti semetic haj amin al husseini, my dear.....who did everything to create a mob mentality full of hate and animosity towards the ORIGINAL INHABITANTS THAT WERE JEWISH IN ALL OF PALESTINE! especially in hebron and in jerusalem whom he called for to make judenrein and free of jews. do you also rememebr the haj collaboration with the nazi gangs of terror and murder to finish what hitler was attempting to kill in all of europe??? is that the person you mean? spare us the bull shit please and concentrate on your country's severe repression, severe poverty and isolation, severe theocracy and police state of terror. the arabs in israel, should they be asked if they want to live in syria, your country, would run to the first israeli consulate to make sure such a transfer doesn't happen. so, asaad, my dear, keep your stupid mouth shut because you have no ground to stand on. let's be clear here. you need the jews as enemies so that you can keep your reviled despotic regime going and deflecting your abysmal nation and rule and repression and war crimes from deposing you and your baath party all together.

you see, my man, it all has to do with arab jealousy of jews in israel, their accomplishments despite so many wars foisted on them, their world recognition in nobel prizes, their high tech and incredible scientific and medical discoveries, etc... it is hard for those who have always hated you through the centuries to see you accomplish and advance in ways unimaginable to them. it is hard to realize that the grass is greener on the israeli side and that your neighbor, despite your death wish to him, has succeeded beyond imagination. it is a hard factual pill to swollow for the arabs whose collective gnp is 100% lower than tiny israel, whose countries live in a mentality so backwards that it reflects in their life style and education and lack of advancement into the modern age. it is a hard pill to swollow that no matter how much they would like to see us all dead, we are still standing, living and producing. this jealousy and feelings of inferiority coupled with stupid pride and honor (which, if they had, they would do something constructive with them), is at the root of their evil from the time of muhammad to present. so, let them bark insanities and sound like a broken record, repeating these propagandas over and over again, and let us move on and continue our success and ashering in the 21st centuries with major jewish gifts to humanity.
10. Tibi's got a point
Ran ,   Julis Village   (10.14.08)
"I wonder if from now on they will start arresting Jews who eat and drink during the Ramadan." well, he's got a point.. I mean why can't arab drive in Keppur while jews are allowed to drink and party in Ramadan ? Even though the arabian guy who started this wanted it to end like this!! and he's the only one to blame
11. THEY ARE TAUNTERS WHO WANT ISRAEL DEAD
MOSHE ,   US   (10.14.08)
12. And they know what they are talkin about!!!
Edmund ,   Halifax, NS   (10.14.08)
Let the syrian tell us how they would tolerate someone eating on Ramadan, let them explain to us how jews where welcomed in government circle, and let them explain how wonderful they always were to the jews.... Arab will always be arab..... Great to complain and no mirror to look at themselves

JAyjay3 ,   Israel   (10.14.08)
Tibis point is ridiculous because an Arab can already drive on Yom Kippur in his own neighborhood without any repercussion. Jews do not go into Arab areas and drink and party infront of them during Ramadan, and if they do that for an act of provocation, they should be arrested too.. Also a Jew would be lynched if he tried that, but this Arab in Akko that provoked this riot wasnt touched, just his car stoned by some kids.
14. No need to "Judaize" Akko. It is in Israel
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (10.14.08)
And in Israel it will stay! As for there Syrians, anyone who this we can make peace with Syria should see a shrink!
15. Why blaming Israel for being it self !
Realist ,   London Uk   (10.14.08)
Israeli announced that it is the state of the Jews, there is no place for other people in this state. And now you are saying it is racism to punish none Jew for breaking the Jewish holiday! That is not fare ! The racism is to HAVE A STATE FOR ONLY ONE RELEGION. The state that deny the existent of the native people is a racist state
16. #15 realist
(10.14.08)
since you are such a realist and so concerned with ethics and non disacrimination, please let us all know what do you think and how do you feel....... when asaad killed 20,000 palestinian arabs residing in his country when they rioted in the prison he constantly keeps them in? asaad murdered 20,000 palestinians in syria in one day, eliminating all the 20,000 rioters on the street of their palestinian camp/prison. god, how asaad loves the palestinians...or then again, how every arab leader uses them as pawns in their struggle to eliminate israel and jews. the palestinians have more rights in israel than they can ever dream of having in any arab land. if they do not like our attitudes in our country, and they are also citizens of this country with full rights and privilages, let them leave our country if they disagree with the government. we jews left many countries in which we resided for millenia because of racism.....true racism, not what arab israelis complain is israeli racism. i want to see them livce in germany of hitler and then talk about racism.
17. The Syrians are right!
Yossi   (10.14.08)
18. why is ynet reprinting official syrian propaganda?
dan ,   new york, ny   (10.14.08)
If I wanted to read a Syrian article, I'd find a Syrian paper in English.
19. Arabs Love to Use the Term Racism
Bill ,   US   (10.14.08)
It's just a wonder their brethren from Sudan seek shelter in Israel from Arab racism. Meanwhile, via the Odessa network, wanted Nazi war criminals had no trouble finding shelter in Syria and Egypt.
20. Syria's racist policy against Kurds
Ken Jurist   (10.14.08)
Kurds cant vote, own land, be citizens of Syria and name their children Kurdish names. Syria's 1.7 million Kurds comprise the largest non-Arab group in Syria, making up about 9% of the population. In 1962, a year before the Baath Party took power, a census stripped around 120,000 Kurdish Syrians of their citizenship, reclassifying them as "foreigners," who carry red identity cards rather than passports. Today, some 300,000 Kurds live here. In the early 1970s, thousands of Arabs were resettled on confiscated Kurdish property along a 200-mile strip on the Turkish border as part of an Arabization policy that included banning Kurds from schools.
21. Not to mention what the recent bombings in Damascus prove
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (10.15.08)
that the current Alawi minority dictatorial regime is close to a violent end.
