I don't know what kind of stupidity you have read and accepted as written in the Torah, but the simple truth is quite obvious; Obama was elected because he was the better candidate for the USA. You say you don't notice color; that's why as you begin your post "it's wonderful to see a black president.." I know many Israelis have swallowed the lies and propaganda calling Obama a Muslim, an anti-semite, a fan of Hamas, etc. hook,line, and sinker. It's funny if Americans including American Jews really believed that crap, McCain would be president elect today. I feel sorry for all those who actually believed the lies because it indicates a lack of common sense. I will say this, better you worry about your own coming elections. Israel is slowly sliding down the path of theocracy and could very easily become a Jewish Iran.
