2. Reuven Predicts
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (11.05.08)
Aliyah from America will increase significantly over the next 4 years. We should expect about 20,000 to40,000 Jews to emigrate to Israel each year during this period.
3. USA R.I.P. 11/04/2008
MK ,   Philadelphia USA   (11.05.08)
The greatest nation on Earth has fallen. This is a sad day for all, and will make the next years more difficult than anyone can imagine. The economic engine of the world is about to shut down. And that is only the start.
4. Pray for the US and Israel
Neil   (11.05.08)
Let's hope Obama keeps to his words and not his past deeds when it comes to his support of Israel.
5. The Time of the NeoCons Has Ended
JJohnson ,   Turks & Caicos   (11.05.08)
The American voters have repudiated Bush and his warmongering neocon buddies and returned sanity to the White House. Good @#$% riddance.
6. No more Goofy Bush!
Bandar ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (11.05.08)
Finally America will have a president that the whole civilized world (minus Israel ofcourse) will be proud of, and his name is Barrak HUSSEIN Obama!

8. Unreal expectations .....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.05.08)
I wonder how enthousiastic many will be about Obama in two years time. My bet is that they will be quite disillusioned, disappointed. The reality is that he's just another politician. He ran a slick campaign but that is not the same thing as running a country. Promises are one thing - delivering on them quite another. Talk is cheap - translating rhetoric into effective policy is something else entirely. I have no doubt that the spin machine will try to gloss over Pres. Obama's future performance. Expect a myriad of excuses, rationalizations, & an effort to silence critics. Change has come to America - but change is not necessarily positive.
9. Everyone in Pakistan are celebrating.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (11.05.08)
Instead of bombing the Taliban in Pakistan ,as well as Al Qaeda.......they'll be bombing them in the suburbs of Washington D.C.. They don't need to hide anymore.....they are just going to move to the United States and train here with their new leader. The United States Military already has a whole bunch of people talking about getting out... because of this anti military pascifist worshipper.... who plans on leading them into the gutter. The military will suffer greatly... because of this president ,who runs a campaign on destroying the intrgrity of the military. The military is leaderless now. Who respects a coward who runs from the enemy when confronted.

JM den Daas ,   Utrecht, Nethelands   (11.05.08)
The associated press article is already released on your website and it speaks of great celabration in Chicago. All right and true ofcourse, but it is already put in the past tence. I am now still watching live coverage of the unpresidented joy of this outcome, among others in Chicago.

May this intelligent young man succeed in doing all in his power to maintain America's standing in the world.
13. real expectations
elle   (11.05.08)
the real expectations would have fallen with a 72 year old man with the same policiesof the last 8 year administration. that sound much like your unreal expectations....."HOPELESS"
14. Change not only in USA
Marcelo ,   Frankfurt   (11.05.08)
The change will notbe only in USA but also in Israel and all jewish communities abroad. Arabs wanted Obama, why? because the left sees hammas and hizbullah as political parties as Eurabia. it is also a time to change in Israel without left and pro-israeli !!

Brod ,   USA   (11.05.08)
Change for the worst has come to America. This is a sad day for America. It will only be gloom and doom for America from now on.
21. Steve
Marilyn ,   USA   (11.05.08)
We never had that much in the way of resources to go towards wars, only enough for very extreme emergencies. Although it's kind of been drained, the USA will still do ok and we'll have a chance to grow as well.
22. God bless America
Kev ,   London   (11.05.08)
..and those that made it great. RIP.

A few years ago Gaza voted for Hamas because they were sick and tired of the corrupt PLO. See where it got them? Rejoice while you still can!
24. # 15
A. Elgamal ,   Cairo   (11.05.08)
You claim that Obama is ex-muslim.. Why are the jews worried/afraid of him being the US president then? I am proud of those who voted for Barack HUSSEIN Obama more than I am proud of Obama himself. Americans are fed up with Zionism. They don't want to be in deep sh*t fighting for your sake any more. And by the way, I am proud of my country, Egypt.
25. Histroy of the World, Part Unknown
Gideon Reader   (11.05.08)
S0 Beatrice Arthur, behind the little grilled window, playing the part of an unployment agency bureaucrat, to Comicus (played by Mel Brooks) Profesion? He responds: "Standup Philosopher". She says: "Oh. a Bulls--ter!!" There you have the essence of the election. The Standup Philosopher is in fact a very fine BEE ESSER and now the USA is going to pay a very LARGE price for it's foolishness and gullibility.
26. # 24 I didn't know Israel had trouble beating Arabs in war
Bill ,   US   (11.05.08)
especially illiterate Egypt.
27. to #24 Cairo
Marcelo ,   Frankfurt   (11.05.08)
It is something clear that your people accepts the peace deal with Israel only if there is a USA giving you money. Otherwise you have had started wars agains Israel from '79 on...That is what makes afraid of a muslim with a power weapon: you just want wars and the killing of jews, that is all. I am proud not to be muslim, very indeed pround !
28. reply to #16 Diablo, NYC
David Boehm ,   USA   (11.05.08)
I am glad you are not in the U.S army too. We dont need wimps in our army!
29. Race Had Nothing To Do With Results
emanon ,   USA   (11.05.08)
America voted for the best person for the office and the best choice for America. That is the bottom line.
30. Now more than ever
Avi   (11.05.08)
those in USA need to watch what happens in government. If they can translate the large number of voter turnout into active participation, then USA can be assured that no freedoms are lost during the course of the next few years. The Jewish community needs to keep an eye on what happens in Washington.
