They knew that this would show Obama's true colors on the Middle East, they knew this was stinking to high heavens, and that would cost him his presidency. They knew that Americans may want change from everything Bush represented, but they can't be that stupid to vote for a terror sympathizer. So they kept this quiet, thus cheating the American voters.
